Elm boughs can double as Branches in crafting; though they aren't usable as fuel.
Elm boughs may be used in any construction or recipe that lists "Any Bough" as an ingredient. Some items that specifically list Fir Bough will not accept Elm Boughs.

How to Acquire
Right click on a sufficiently grown elm tree and select the appropriate option. Each Elm Tree will provide 4 boughs.
