Firefly is a Curiosity which can be used in the Study Report to earn Learning Points. Can be found everywhere at Night. Fireflies can be equipped on a Fishing Pole to be used as Bait.

How to Acquire

You can catch a firefly by right-clicking them while they are flying around, just like Ladybugs. They appear in Grasslands, Forest Terrains, and most likely on Swamps. Only at Night.
