Gold Ore is a mined piece of rock and mineral from which a Gold Nugget can be gained.
How to Acquire
Gold Ore is obtained by Mining in a Gold Mine. To turn it into usable metal, it must be smelted in an Ore Smelter.
Note
As with all ores, the chance of the ore becoming a nugget is calculated as soon as the ore is mined. A character with a high industry belief will be much more successful in mining ore that will yield nuggets than a character with a high nature belief. The mining process does not effect the quality of the resultant nugget at all.
