Not sure where to put this information, but a bit more about using the keyboard camera controls: http://www.havenandhearth.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=753204#p753204

The post from member "tanchist:"

"I knew how to get diagonal views. You start the game with one diagonal view and then with left and right arrows you cycle through the 4 available diagonal views. Up and down arrows are controlling the zoom level.

What I discovered 12 hours ago was that with Ctrl+Arrow you get the 4 Cardinal Views (no way to cycle through them AFAIK). Ctrl+Up = the direction up on your map is North, what I use to call normal in any game. Ctrl + Down = Up on your screen is South on minimap, Ctrl + left = North is to your left on screen, Ctrl + Right = North is to your right on screen. Ctrl + Arrow was undocumented and should be mentioned somewhere. The diagonal views that I hate from deep within my heart while clicking on the field, trying to reach something shown on minimap (which I do pretty often) are well documented and I sometimes wish they were not the game defaults."

Updating the client--new version/old version

I'm adding in a separate section for the "updated client" on the GUI modes. Some modes will no longer need to be supported with the update to OpenGL 3.x. Just to add it, the PM I received from loftar when I inquired about this.

loftar >" Indeed, those drawing modes are obsolete with the new client. Effectively, the new client only supports the "VAO" mode, which is the only one that still exists in modern OpenGL (...well, as modern OpenGL as the client uses).

Just for the record, though, "d" and "dlist" are the same (the client accepts any non-ambiguous abbreviation, even "dl", "dli" or "dlis"). I don't think there has ever been a "2demu" mode. "
