Table Update (2016)

I've started to update some of the foods with information I have collected on spreadsheets, and I created the Roasted Badger page. It is properly categorized as [[Category:Food], but the table is not pulling the information from it.

Same. Created Dried Morels and FEP table isn't pulling information from it. Help me to figure this out.--Rootconsoler (talk) 09:09, 28 June 2016 (EDT)
Ok. I spent 2 days to fugure this out, how to make page, how to use templates right and how to use categoryes. My main problem was, that when i added any new food, and tried to find it in FEP table and there are was no my pages in table. So mistake was in properities of the funcion "Infobox metaobj" When i added new pages with properities i was not looking for are positions of strings with properities defenitions. All strings must be filled and placed exactly same as they are placed in teamplate. Hope my experience will help you.--Rootconsoler (talk) 16:29, 29 June 2016 (EDT)

Table Update (2019)

Thought about adding column Produced By, can't figure out how. Simple ?producedby = Produced By not work as i thought - just empty column, halp?
--Kitsuneg (talk) 10:36, 21 January 2019 (EST)

Your correct about the "?producedby ..." part. The problem is that the producedby property is empty (ergo: empty column result). The only data that is stored for the producedby parameter are the [[requires::<related-page/subject-name>]] parts. So, for example, "producedby = hand" only displays that data (by the infobox template(s))... but its not stored (by the infobox template(s)) to a property. --.MvGulik. 13:11, 21 January 2019 (EST)

Ah, can you make them stored then? a lot of people asked add this for dishes and curious in grand tables.
--Kitsuneg (talk) 01:42, 22 January 2019 (EST)

It could be stored. But that would more or less just duplicated some of the same data-relations that are already stored in the "requires" property. The only new data "producedby" would contain would be like "hand","N/A","Fishing". Have you tried using "?requires" yet so see if its returned data fits your objective ?
PS: For playing around with #ask queries SMW has a special Semantic search page. To import a particular query setup into this Semantic search page you can do the following: 1) open page/section in edit mode. 2) set the #ask query limit to zero. 3) preview the change. 4) click on "... further results". 5) click on "edit query". done.

Well i tried, even with google i can't work with #ask - too advanced for me. Can't figure how to show up cauldron, cheese rack, hand or other instruments with ?requires.
--Kitsuneg (talk) 03:37, 22 January 2019 (EST)

I admit, getting to grips with SMW Semantic search (#ask and/or #show) can be troublesome at times (and the online SMW help kinda sucks).
I could try to teach you what I think you would need to know, but ... one major problem here is the language barrier which kinda makes that a bit impractical in my view (ps: that's not blaming you, just outlining something I see as mere fact). :(

I noticed that your english is pretty.. complicated for me (compares to usual forum members or even Ricky) and a lot of termins that i don't know make it much more difficult.
I just thought it would be much more easier than it is.
I'd say let's set aside lessons for a while, i has too many business preparing to wipe - will hard play at least for a few month. And there will be so many raw data work on wiki soon =) a lot of new items, total food rework, nerfs, hope some old editors will ressurect for a while xD

energy/hunger

Would it be possible to include an energy/hunger column? I wasn't sure if there's an easy way to have math function in a table (like dividing the values of one column to another). I tried a couple methods but I've now given up.
--Rexz (talk) 05:00, 30 December 2019 (EST)

Implemented.
(PS: In this case regular editors are only limited in editing the metaobj infobox template, as that one is edit protected)

Table (2021)

There are now more than 500 food item (500 being the general SMW max). Which means a single table can's show all food items anymore. (+sorting only applies to the displayed records) --.MvGulik. 11:11, 28 January 2021 (UTC)
