Ore is the general material you receive from mining walls in Caves or Mine Holes that contain metals. It must be melted in an Ore Smelter to extract the usable metal, although it sometime smelts into Stone (which is affected by your Nature/Industry slider setting).

How to Acquire
<!-- keys: ? > ... -->
Ore is obtained by mining in a Cave or Mine Hole built over a metal node.

Note
The chance of the Ore becoming a bar/nugget is calculated at the moment the ore is mined. A character with a high industry belief will be much more successful in mining ore that will yield bars/nuggets than a character with a high nature belief. The mining process does not effect the quality of the resultant bar/nugget at all.

In the first underground layer, players can find iron, tin and copper. Silver is found in the second underground layer, and gold in the third. This means you must build additional Mine Holes in the underground to dig deeper.

Tried crafting a Tin Soldier with Q24 Charcoal, 1 Smithing and 25 Strength. Used 8 Q24 Tin Nuggets. Resulting quality was 14.

I'm taking a good guess that it's softcapped by Sqrt Strength*Smithing. The result fits perfectly, and like all Alloying Crucible recipes, it doesn't seem to be taking the Charcoal's quality into the formula.
If anyone could confirm this, it would be great. As for now, I'm adding this information at the article.
::Kinda sounds to me that you did not put the eggs in range of a chicken. This feature is documented at the main page (although it could be written a bit clearer).
Hatching
Ok, after researching the forums and testing, I feel like the below information is quite needed on this page:

* Eggs are labelled as "fertilized" or "not fertilized" forever. So removing a fertilized egg from a chicken coop and then putting it again will only reset the timer for it to hatch, but will not remove it's status of fertilized or not.

* Fertilized eggs will only hatch if allocated in a 2x2 space below a coop chicken.

* Quality of the chicken hatching eggs did not affect the resulting chick's quality.

* Relocating fertilized which already started it's timer will naturally reset it.
Feldspar is an ingredient of Bone Clay, which is used to make Porcelain Plates and Ceramic Meat Grinders.

How to Acquire
These rocks are found in moors, mountains, and mudflats with a moderate Perception * Exploration requirement. They can be harvested with Foraging: when found, right click them and select "Pick". Like Gray Clay, your ability to harvest Feldspar depends on your Nature/Industry slider, with full Nature characters only having a 50% chance to successfully forage one Feldspar rock and full Industry characters having a 100% chance of foraging 2 rocks.
Quality of Feldspar is the same as the underlying Clay/Mountain stone.

How to Use
Fill it with ore. Smelter can hold up to 25 pieces of ore. Fuel it with 4 pieces of charcoal by left-clicking the charcoal and right-clicking the ore smelter. Then right-click the smelter again and select Light. It takes 20 minutes to smelt a single load.

Formula
The formula used to determine the outcome quality of the bars you receive from smelting ore has been changed in World 4. Ores now have quality, the new formula is similiar to the kiln.
O = Ore quality.
Bee hives provide beeswax and honey, and also help crops grow faster in a radius of 13 tiles. A beehive can hold a maximum of 1.0 L honey and 5 wax.
To collect beeswax, just right click the hive and harvest it.
To collect honey, left click a bucket and right click on the hive.

Pollination
Each bee hive will pollinate "one field tile per however many ticks"; the pollination range is shown when you build the hive. A tile is either pollinated, or it is not; multiple bee hives do not increase the pollination bonus.

To put it another way:
*If you have 1 crop tile and no hives, your grow speed is SLOW;
*if you have 1 crop tile and 1 hive, your grow speed is FAST;
*if you have 1 crop tile and 2 hives, your grow speed is FAST, same as 1 and 1 (but only one of the hives gains honey from the pollination);

General Notes
The bee hive production is affected by maturing plants in its vicinity. Therefore, if you want a lot of wax or honey, you have to actively farm around the bee hive. However, hives cannot "share" this resource. Two hives sitting side by side will produce half the honey/wax as a single hive in that location would.verify

* Beehives produce wax when crops change stage.
* When planting a new crop in the ground it behaves like a stage change.
* Last stage change in a crop (growing to the last stage) doesn't produce wax or honey.
* Beehives can produce wax, honey or both at the same time.
* Beehives produce wax or honey every 20 real life minutes. The crops on the ground can change stage at any time and this is not related to the timer of when the beehive gets it's update.

Quantity
The beehive will produce different amounts of materials depending on how many crop stage changes it has gotten between the updates.

*0-25: updates will not produce anything.
*25-40: produces 0.1 L of honey.
*40-60: 1 wax or 0.1L honey.
*60-90: both 1 wax and 0.1 L honey
*90+: 0.2 L honey and 1 wax.

Quality
* Beehive has a "stored" quality and it's this that determines the quality of the products coming out.
* Crop stage changes directly affect the quality of the beehive. The quality levels out at the same exact quality as the average surrounding crops that have changed stage.
* Beehives with QL over 100 are subject to zone reset and in that case revert back to 100. Such reset will occur if you either leave the area and have that area unload or if the beehive is placed inside a boat and then taken out.
* The initial seed planting reduces the quality of the beehive, down to half of it's "stored" quality (verify). If one's trying to farm high quality products he should lift the beehive up and move it away far enough from the crops when replanting as to not receive updates on the beehive at that stage, then after planting is complete move it back.

Build a Chicken Coop in order to breed hens and cocks. Each hen will take around 1 real life day to lay an egg. Be sure to leave a space below the hen or it will not give an egg; chickens are stored in an 8x8 grid. Hens will lay eggs without a cock in the Chicken Coop, but they will not be fertilized. (Fertilized eggs have a white pie fraction overlayed on them indicating when they will hatch into chicks.) Fertilized eggs can still be turned into food. Note that Hens must have a space directly below them to lay eggs and fertilized eggs must be under the hens for it to hatch. The timer will stop after some time, if there is no chicken above the egg. Chicks must have a 2x2 tile space, a total of 4 tiles, to mature into chickens.

Essentially, chicken quality is directly based on seed quality. Higher quality fodder from higher quality seeds will allow your chicks to grow into higher quality hens and cocks; Higher quality cocks and hens will produce higher quality eggs, which will hatch into higher quality chicks than the previous generation, and thus the cycle repeats. Adult hens/cocks will not increase their quality when they eat higher quality fodder, but they will eventually reduce their quality to the fodder's if they're fed with lower quality fodder.

When a new egg is laid, it's quality is based on the average of it's parents' quality +/-5. When it hatches the chick is innitialy of same quality as an egg. When said chick grows it feeds several times. If at such feeding interveal fodder quality is lower than that of a chick, then chick's quality will drop by one level. Chicks never grow in quality and mature chickens never change theirs.

Chickens require feeding. To do this, pick up fodder material (as listed below) up with a left-click and right-click on the coop. This will fill the fodder bar a bit. You will not be able to recover any seed/plants used in this manner. Fodder fills up a meter inside the coop; the amount removed is proportionate to the amount of chickens contained therein.

How to Acquire
A chicken coop can be built generally on a 3x3 paved area.
The 'empty' button will remove all fodder currently stored, giving you the opportunity to raise the quality of newborn chicks, or to keep adult hens/cocks from reducing their quality.

Grassland can be found naturally around the map, or it can be planted by the player. Herds of Mouflon, Auroch, and Chicken flocks can spawn on it, regardless of natural or planted. Fox can be found on Grassland.

Inkweed, Four-Leaf Clover, and Wild Windsown Weed can be found on grassland, and can be picked from the ground.

If trees were cut down in a forest area,it slowly turns into grassland.

Harvesting planted crops in Grassland, unlike Forest, do not have a chance to turn the terrain back into plowed fields.
