Kill a deer, then right click to collect bones on a deer skeleton after skinning and/or butchering the remains. You will get one set of antlers with other bone materials of the same quality. Quality is determined by the formula DeerLevel*5+Survival/2.
Deer Antlers can be used as if they were a regular bone component when crafting items. This can also be a detriment if you are not careful as you can accidentally turn Deer Antlers into Bone Arrows or Bone Glue.

Curiosity is a mechanic, introduced in World 5, that allows a hearthling to develop Learning Points. It is implemented by studying peculiar objects either found or created in the game.
The Study Interface, found by pressing the second button on the character window, is where curiosities can be placed for study.
You can't study more than one curiosity of each type at the same time, but you can restudy the same curiosity as many times as you want.
The sum Mental Weight of your curiosities can't exceed your Attention Limit, which is equal to your base Intelligence.
The quality of the curiosity is known to have an effect on the total LP gained. The exact formula is unknown for the moment.

Do note that not all curiosities are created equal. Cat Gold for instance has a very long study time, but contrary to what was first thought it also has a low LP gain. The concept is that as the int of a character rises, you will have attention to spare so that you can also study the lesser curiosities on top of the better ones. Unless of course you're rich enough to have access to the best ones constantly that is. And since quality effects the potency of a curiosity, as the world becomes established and item qualities begin to rise some items may gain popularity due to this mechanism.
Kill a bear, then right click to collect bones on a bear skeleton after skinning and/or butchering the remains. You will get four teeth along with other bone materials of the same quality. Quality is determined by the formula:

Bear Teeth can be used as if they were a regular bone component when crafting items. This can also be a detriment if you are not careful as you can accidentally turn Bear Teeth into Bone Arrows or Bone Glue.

As of March 13/2011, a new curiosity based LP system was introduced. It appears to be intended to help minimize the advantage gained by botters. When first introduced, many players objected heavily to its induction, especially due to the fact that it was radically different from the grind based experience system that was in place previously.

Learning Points are used to buy Incremental skills, Non-incremental skills, and Property.

They are initially come from contact with new objects through acquisition. Picking your first branch off a tree will give you LP, but picking a branch off the ground will not. Crafting of some objects like Wooden Cutlery will give LP for the first time, while the creation of others like the kuksa will not. It seems all symbel items give LP, while other crafted items mostly don't. Any item that is used to craft another item will provide "acquisition lp".

After first encounter LP, LP is gained off of studying one or more curiosity. These can be crafted, foraged, caught, or even created as a side effect from other activities.

Bear Teeth can be used as if they were a regular bone component when crafting items. This can also be a detriment if you are not careful as you can accidentally turn Bear Teeth into Bone Arrows or Bone Glue.

Curiosity is a mechanic that allows a hearthling to develop Learning Points. It is implemented by studying peculiar objects either found or created in the game.
The Study Interface, found by pressing the second button on the character window, is where curiosities can be placed for study.
You can't study more than one curiosity of each type at the same time.
The sum Mental Weight of your curiosities can't exceed your Attention Limit, which is equal to your base Intelligence.
The quality of the curiosity is known to have an effect on the total LP gained. The exact formula is unknown for the moment.

Crafted Curiosities
Cone cow - Base LP gain: 50

Curiosity is a mechanic that allows a hearthling to develop Learning Points. It is implemented by studying peculiar objects either found or created in the game.
The Study Interface, found by pressing the second button on the character window, is where curiosities can be placed for study.
You can't study more than one curiosity of each type at the same time.
The sum Mental Weight of your curiosities can't exceed your Attention Limit, which is equal to your base Intelligence.

The quality of the curiosity is known to have an effect on the total LP gained. The exact formula is unknown for the moment.

How to Acquire
Kill a bear, then right click to collect bones on a bear skeleton after skinning and/or butchering the remains. You will get four teeth along with other bone materials of the same quality. Quality is determined by the formula:

<math>BearLevel*10+Survival/2</math>.

Other Applications
Bear Teeth can be used as if they were a regular bone component when crafting items. This can also be a detriment if you are not careful as you can accidentally turn Bear Teeth into Bone Arrows or Bone Glue.

Also, Bear Tooth is a Curiosity which can be used in the Study Interface to earn Learning Points.
