{{GM|$Adventure|$Haven & Hearth|$Claim Land}}

A personal claim marks your own piece of land, making it and everything on it your property. Claims protect objects from [[decay]], prevent Hearthlings without [[Theft]] from stealing your objects and items, and without [[Vandalism]] from performing actions such as digging, destroying, building, setting down piles, etc.

==How to Acquire==

To claim land, you need the [[Yeomanry]] skill.

To build a Claim Pole, navigate to {{Key|1 = A}}dventure > {{Key|1 = H}}aven & Hearth > {{Key|1 = C}}laim land. Whoever places the construction sign becomes the owner of the claim.

The initial claim area is a 5x5 square around the totem. It can be expanded at the cost of 10 LP per square (note that personal claims do not refund LP anymore, so what's spent is lost after declaiming). This is done by increasing the dimensions of the claim (north, east, south, west).

There is no limit to the amount of personal claims a single character can have, although any beyond the first, cost 4000 [[LP]] to finish building. Two personal claims can't be built or extended within 5 tiles of one another. They cannot cover a [[Localized Resources|Localized Resource]].

==Power Level==

{{w13|on}}
Claims has power level, varies from 0 to 1.
* You can check power level of a claim by inspecting any ground tile on your claim, it represents in a percent from 0% to 100%
* [[Battering Ram]] drying time depends on claim power level, 24h*Power Level for [[Palisade]] and 32h*Power Level for [[Brickwall]]
* The stronger claim always applies in case of overlapping claims.
* It takes roughly a month to get maximum power level
{{w13|off}}

==Presence==

Claims now require Presence to stay active, which works similarly to [[Authority]] on Village Claims. Presence will drain gradually over time. When it drops to 0 (two real-life months from fully charged {{verify|changed with the start of w11, but time was not given in patch notes}}), the claim becomes inactive: objects start to decay, no [[scents]] are left for Theft or Vandalism and the Claim Pole can be bashed by hand.

Upon completing the Claim Pole, the person who finishes it receives an item called [[A Bond of Blood & Soil]]. This is essentially your deed to the property, and shows how much Presence the claim currently has. You can name a bond by right-clicking it.

Claims start off inactive, with 0 Presence, 0 soak, and any damage to them is increased tenfold. During this time anyone can access the claimed area and everything on it. Only after 8 hours AND after the Pole has been visited again by the claim owner will they become active and begin accumulating Presence. (These restrictions are in place to prevent troll-claims by providing some initial window during which they can be destroyed freely, and to discourage "fire-and-forget" -style of dropping claims on any interesting spot.) After this window, you can refill your Presence at any time at the Claim Pole, do note however that this consumes LP, and is intended as an emergency measure only. The better way is to put your bond in your [[Study Report]], which gives your claim a free Presence point for every LP you earn, without using it up. '''Tip:''' discovery LP counts and with some pre-planning, can be triggered essentially at command.

You can hover your cursor over the empty presence bar to see how much of the {{time|G&Rhm|0|24|0}} timer is remaining. Note that the time will only update if you close and re-open the window.

'''If you should lose your bond by dropping, dying or by having it stolen, you can renew it at the Claim Pole, which destroys your old bond and gives you a new one. The cost for this is half your max Presence. Anyone who finds your bond can study it for 96 hours to take ownership of your claim, so it's advised to renew it as soon as possible.'''

==Permissions==

You can grant permissions for other players to access your claim by setting them as specific color in the Kin screen (Ctrl+B) and setting matching permissions to that color at the claim pole. Permissions can be changed on the fly by changing a kin's chat color, which is linked to the permissions ''toggled'' for each color at the Pole. Permissions granted to color white apply to every player that you haven't memorized/kinned and set to different color. Giving trespassing to color white can be a good idea if your claim would otherwise block a river or some other pathway, avoiding the ire of your local community.

==Party Permissions==

You're able to decide whether or not party members gain all permissions within your claim. You can do so by going into {{Key|1 = A}}dventure > {{Key|1 = T}}oggle > Toggle {{Key|1 = P}}arty Permissions. This is Off by default and shows an icon on top left of your screen when On.

==Moving the Claim Pole==

You can move your claim pole to another position inside your claimed area by simply building a new one. The old one will disappear and the new one takes its place.
[b]NOTE: Since W12, If you move your claim pole the claim will become inactive and all presence will be lost. You will need to wait the full 8 hours for the claim to become active again.[/b]

== Notes ==

*Personal claims can be revoked by an overlapping [[Village Claim]], but only if the village owned the land before the personal claim was made, or is at least 90% as old as the personal claim.

*If the claim owner dies and inherits from their ancestor, the claim is inherited by the descendant. The area covered by the claim is not reduced upon inheritance, unlike skills and LP.

*Everyone, even without [[Trespassing]] skill can walk on your claim but they leave a [[Odor of Trespassing]] that you can use to track their [[Hearth Fire]].

*Caution when setting white permissions on a personal claim. White permissions will apply to everyone you have not memorized or kinned. Anyone you memorize or kin stays white as a default. This is to make possible for players to allow "public access" to their claim, but may come with complications.

*Notable exceptions to the prevention of decay are looms and cupboards, which always decay when placed outside.

*To destroy: If inactive, Claim Poles have no soak and can be easily destroyed by hand. If active, it requires a [[Battering Ram]].

*You cannot claim a [[Localized Resources|Localized Resource]] with a Personal Claim.

*A p-claim needs to have a minimal ratio of ~1:3 (''short side vs Long side''). (''~1:<b>3</b> => somewhere between 2.845..2.90'')

*[//www.havenandhearth.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=72166 Forum guide for many pitfalls with claims.]

*Anyone with [[Vandalism]] permissions may place a hat on the claim pole as decoration. Both [[:Category:Cosmetic Hats|Cosmetic Hats]] and [[Headgear]] slot items may be placed on the pole.

The fishing skill allows you to craft and use [[Bushcraft Fishingpole]]s and [[Primitive Casting-Rod]]s and to fish for different [[:Category:Fish|types of fish]]. The fishing skill benefits from completion of the [[Credos]] - Fisherman.

==In-Game Text==
''"The fathoms give nothing,''<br>
''Yield not a single thing,''<br>
''But to the fishermens' snares."''

You have mastered some basic fishing techniques, and can craft rods, poles, hooks and lures.

There are two types of fishing: Rod and pole. Pole fishing uses various forms of live or fleshy bait -- such as earthworms, entrails, or ants -- whereas Rod fishing uses lures. Fishing poles catch fish immediately whenever they bite, but the more demanding Rod fishing rather requires you to actually land the Fish by figuring out the many riddles of the sport. The truly rare fish of the world are caught with rods.

==How to Fish==
To fish you need four categories of items combined together with the fishing skill. These items are:
# A Fishing Pole
# Fishing Line
# Fish Hook
# Lures or Bait

===Fishing Pole===
Craft Either a [[Bushcraft Fishingpole]] or a [[Primitive Casting-Rod]].

*[[Primitive Casting-Rod]] must be used with Lures. Lures are not consumed as fish are caught. This is called Lure-Fishing

*[[Bushcraft Fishingpole]] uses bait. Fish are caught automatically and the Bait is Consumed and replaced per fish. This is called Bait-Fishing

===Fishing Line===
As of {{Patch|Fishing for Finery}} update. [[String]]s, as fishing lines, where replaced with dedicated crafted [[Fishline|fishing lines]].

{{#ask:[[Specific::Fishline]]|format=ul}}
(''No specific per-fishline details known'')

Fishing line occasionally break, so be sure to have backups. Higher quality fishing line tends to break less often.

The color of the fishing line is reflective of the type of line.

===Fish Hook===
A fish hook is added to the fishing pole by left clicking on the hook and then right clicking on the fishing pole. Fish hook types include:
*[[Bone Hook]]
*[[Chitin Hook]]
*[[Gold Hook]]
*[[Metal Hook]]

Fish hook are also occasionally lost. Using your prized gold nugget passed down by your ancestors might not be wise. Higher quality fish hooks tend to be lost less often.

===Bait===
Bait is expendable meaning you can catch at maximum one fish per bait.

Some types of bait include: {{#ask: [[Category:bait]]}}

===Lure===
Lures are durable, but they can be lost. {{SharedText|unlock_lures}}

Some types of lure include: {{#ask: [[Category:Fishing_Lure]]}}

==Fishing Trash==
When something is dropped in a body of water, it is added to a global pool of items that can be fished up anywhere in the world or found buried on the beach. Some people use this feature for charity by throwing their old equipment in the river. You can also drop a written parchment to send a message to a random fisherman as if it were a message in a bottle.

==Fishing==
'''Quoting Jorb:'''
Fish are now a limited and localized resource, working in the same way as any other localized resource. You should notice fish jumping in the water if the area has fish. What you catch when fishing depends on the following factors: Time of day, [[Water Terrain|location]], [[Fishing Lure|lure]], [[Fish Hook|hook]], [[Fishing Pole|pole]] and [[Fishing Line|line]] type as well as the quality level of each piece of fishing equipment.

===Bait Fishing===
Bait-Fishing is a semi-automated and a Semi-random activity using a Bushcraft Fishing Pole. Bait, line, and hook combo seem to have no strong correlation between fish types caught. Equip your pole, gather an inventory of bait, and begin fishing. You will automatically catch, recast, and re-bait your hook while bait fishing. The type of fish caught are random, based on the node you are fishing from, however the quality is hard-capped by your [[Survival]]. If you are simply looking to catch fish with no real desire for a certain type of fish, this is your easiest option.

===Lure Fishing===
Lure-Fishing using a Primitive Casting Rod is a more precise and manual activity. Lure, line, and hook type all play role in what species you will be able to catch. Every fish have certain line, hook, and lure combos that work best for it. If you are having difficulties catching a fish or keeping your lure, be sure to try new combinations. Equip your pole, gather some tackle, and begin fishing. You will be presented a list of fish to "aim" for, with a given % of how likely they are to bite. This list is a function of your [[Survival]] and [[Will]], so the higher both stats are, the larger your list will be. Max number of fishes in a list is limited by 10 and apparently is equal to <math>\lceil \sqrt{Will * Surv}/20 \rceil</math>. You can choose what kind of fish you want to catch. If you do not pick any, the game will automatically choose the fish with the highest % of biting.

==Fish Data==
Hitpoints

Pinkie-Pie: clean up of edit, picture

[[Category:guide]]
__TOC__

There are three different types of hitpoints: soft (SHP), hard (HHP), and maximum (MHP).

=== SHP ===
SHP reflects current hitpoints. As long as a character's [[Energy]] is above 8000%, this value will slowly regenerate, up to the character's current HHP value. SHP can be lost from (including, but not limited to:)
*Combat
*Equipped [[leech]]es
*Commiting [[Criminal Acts]] causes 1shp damage for each action that generates a scent.

Being reduced to zero SHP results in being knocked unconscious for roughly a minute. Travel to [[Hearth Fire]] is possible for a short while before waking up, allowing you to avoid getting knocked out again by animal lingering nearby or escape PvP encounters as long as you're not red-handed, outlaw, or in a Dungeon.

=== HHP ===
HHP is current maximum hitpoints. This number is reduced by [[Wounds]] you receive during combat, starvation or drowning. Leaving your character to starve will make you lose HHP over time. HHP recovers when you heal a wound. HHP has a maximum of the character's MHP value. A character takes slight HHP damage from most unblocked attacks. If a character's HHP drops to zero, that character is permanently dead.

=== MHP ===
MHP is the maximum achievable hard hitpoints. This value is 100 on a new character and can be raised by increasing a character's [[Constitution]] attribute, while lowering it will decrease MHP.

The formula for calculating MHP is: <math>MHP=100*\sqrt{\frac{CON}{10}}</math>.
:for example, if CON is 10 (baseline), your MHP is <math>100*\sqrt{\frac{10}{10}}</math>. , which is 100.
:if con is 100: <math>MHP=100*\sqrt{\frac{100}{10}}</math>. = 316

For additional information, see this [http://www.havenandhearth.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=46899&p=611821&hilit=grievous+damage#p611821 forum post].

== Wounds ==

Wounds are the HHP damage since World 8 of Haven. Different sources of damage have a chance to cause a wound, which might heal over time, or can be healed by certain actions. Each wound will have a value which amounts to the reduction it applies to your HHP, or even to certain [[Attributes]]. These values and the wounds are visible on the '''Health & Wounds''' button on your [[Glossary|Character Sheet]]. Each wound heals independently of others, so several small occurrences of the same wound will heal faster than one large one.

Many wounds will stack together to form new, generally more severe wounds that are often harder to cure. For instance, taking large amounts of Unfaced can cause you to gain Black-Eyed or Severe Mauling. The most common occurrence of this is Nicks and Knacks stacking into Scrapes and Cuts, which can stack to Deep Cuts, which can stack to Cruel Incision, which can stack to Nasty Laceration.

Any wounds that state that it will "heal over time" require the character to have a green energy bar (8000% or higher) to heal and will continue to heal whether on or offline. Note that some wounds that heal over time can also be healed with other methods, such as [[Leeches]]. This may speed up overall healing time by spreading out the damage more.

Some wounds, such as [[Adder]] bites, initially get worse over time, and can kill your hearthling. Sleeping appears to accelerate the progress of these wounds, so it may be wise to seek treatment before sleep. Others require monitoring, like Infected Sore, which can either grow or shrink over time.

The following are the list of wounds a character can receive from combat or other actions in the game. Several will heal on their own, most will need some sort of healing item to remove the wound. Note that almost all healing items have some sort of penalty associated with it. It could be a quick loss of SHP ([[Leeches]]), occupying a gear slot ([[Gauze]]), or reduce attributes or skills ([[Stinging Poultice]]).

HHP is recovered as wounds reduce in amount(s). Recovering SHP needs energy at healing levels (8000% or higher).

Wounds will still, even when treated, count and be relevant for combinations to new and more severe wounds when you receive new wounds from taking damage. They will also retain negative effects during treatment.
Each treatment, when applied, now applies a treatment factor to the wound, dependent on the quality of the treatment applied, which reduces the reactivity of the wound -- i.e. the likelihood of it wanting to combine with incoming new wounds to create more severe wounds -- by the treatment factor percentage.

''Diseases'' are unique in that they will increase in size (removing more HHP) over time, unless they are treated or you stay within Healing range of energy (8000% or more).

'''Note:''' Otherwise permanent wounds that have no traditional remedy can be healed by an [[Ancient Root]], which instantly heals any wound, or the right [[Alchemy|Elixir]], which requires some research beforehand to not poison yourself.
==Additional Information==
A few wounds need to be given special consideration

*Starvation
**There seems to be chance to gain starvation damage every time character expends energy when its below 2000%
**Starvation seems to only heal when some combination of following factors is met, proper testing required
***SHP is full
***Stamina is full
***Energy is over 8000% or more

*Concussions
**These lower stats and can take a long time to heal on their own
**[[Cloth]] is the main limiting factor for its treatment, as it can be difficult for a new player to make.
**Getting knocked out too many times can brick your character for a few days

*Wretched Gore
**Often recieved during PvP fights, or damage from strong animals.
**Heals 1 HHP a day with a q10 stitched patch
**The patch quality can make a difference measured in months
**Using a [[Stitch Patch]] to heal this wound causes the Stitched Up debuff, which reduces a character's effectiveness at combat and foraging.
**Ancient Roots may provide quicker treatment. See [[Localized Resources]]

*Black eyed

Pinkie-Pie: Cold Cut Cool

[[Category:guide]]
__TOC__

There are three different types of hitpoints: soft (SHP), hard (HHP), and maximum (MHP).

=== SHP ===

=== HHP ===

=== MHP ===

== Wounds ==

==Additional Information==

*Black eyed
**Search for Black-eyed on this page
}}

A hedgehog is a quill covered creature that can be killed for [[Raw Hedgehog]] and [[Hedgehog Quills]]. It takes up a 2x2 space in the inventory when alive. They are found on [[Forest]] terrain.

Note that picking up and butchering Hedgehogs will give your character Quill'd [[wounds]], unless your character is wearing gloves. This can be easily avoided, however, by killing the hedgehog before picking it up. It will not fight back and can be easily punched to death by a fresh character.

==Quick Facts==

* Seems to be consistently found in [[Root Bosk]] biome.
* Desperate Hearthling who lost their battle for sanity can build up Quill'd wound incredibly fast by repeatedly picking and releasing single hedgehog.

==Trivia==

* Hedgehogs were added in the update {{Patch|Sonic Youth}}, but of the few encounters reported by players there were next to no evidence.
* As of the update {{Patch|Thy Kingdom Come}} it seems to spawn more often and on diffrent terrains (?).
Terraforming

Pinkie-Pie: /* Digging */

[[Category:Guide]]

Terraforming is how a player sculpts the environment around his or her character. Virtually all actions performed can be considered, to some extent, to be terraforming. There are however certain terrains and biomes which are harder or impossible to terraform. For example, [[Mountain]]s cannot be raised or lowered in height through digging or surveys. Forest biomes must be cleared of [[Tree]]s and [[Stump]]s before you can build. the three tiles adjacent to any water biome cannot be terraformed.

== Terraforming ==
General built in, automated terraforming features.

*Forest ground is actively upheld by trees. Forest ground outside the range of any tree will degrade to Grassland over time.
*Dirt tiles will decay over time to forest or grassland tiles adjacent to it
*Trees planted on a non forest terrain will eventually spawn a generic [[wald]] terrain as they grow.

=== [[Survey]] Land ===
[[File:actsurvey.png]](<u>A</u>dventure ->&nbsp;La<u>n</u>dscaping ->&nbsp;Plant <u>S</u>urvey)''

Clicking and dragging will select a area of a maximum of 31x31 to be leveled. Right clicking the flag will open a menu to adjust the desired height to level to. Stockpiles of [[dirt]], [[stone]], and [[ore]] within the survey will be used to raise the level of the ground after all necessary digging is done.

'''''See [[Survey]] for more detailed information'''''

=== Removing Cliffs ===
It is possible to remove cliffs by placing a survey like so:<br>
[[File:cliffbusting.jpg]]

=== Plant Grass ===
[[File:actgrass.png]]''(<u>A</u>dventure ->&nbsp;La<u>n</u>dscaping ->&nbsp;Plant <u>G</u>rass)''

Requires [[Farming]] skill to perform.

This command converts a tile into [[Grassland]], this also works on Cobblestone. Each tile has a very small chance of spawning Grassland wildlife or herbs to forage.

Requires 5 seeds of any type (Plant-able non-seed objects such as [[Hop Cones]], [[Carrot]]s, [[Beetroot]]s, and [[Any Onion|Onions]] do not work.)

=== Digging ===
[[File:actdig.png]]''(<u>A</u>dventure ->&nbsp;<u>D</u>ig)''

The Dig command lowers the level of most terrain except beaches, mountains, snow and caves and generates a resource depending on the terrain.
{| class="wikitable"
!Terrain !! Resource received
|-
| [[Beach]] || [[Sand]]
|-
| [[Shallow Water]]|| [[Clay|Ball Clay]]
|-
| [[Mountain]]s || [[Stone]]
|-
| [[Forest]]s and [[Grassland]]s || [[Soil]] and [[Earthworm]]s
|-
|[[Mudflat]]s || [[Acre Clay]]
|-
|[[Cave]]s || undiggable
|-
| [[Swamp]]s || undiggable
|}|

'''Notes:'''
*Digging [[Soil]] by hand removes 1 dirt per action
*A q10 [[Wooden Shovel]] removes 2 dirt per action
*A q10 [[Metal Shovel]] removes 4 dirt per action
** Shovels are also significantly faster and drain less stamina.
*As of world 11 it is now possible dig up items discarded by other players, similar to fishing.

=== Plowing ===
[[File:actplow.png]]''(<u>A</u>dventure ->&nbsp;La<u>n</u>dscaping -> <u>P</u>low Field)''

Requires the [[Farming]] skill to perform.

This command turns normal ground into [[Plowed Dirt]]. This is only possible on [[Forest]] and [[Grassland]] Terrains. It does not work on swamps, mountains, mudflats, snow and beaches.

'''Notes:'''
*Plowing by hand requires excessive amounts of [[Stamina]], 25% per tile. A character will be too tired to plow when Stamina is 29% or less.
*Plowing with a [[Wooden Plow]] is much faster and takes less Stamina
*Plowing with a [[Metal Plow]] is the fastest and takes the least Stamina
*Plowing doesn't affect plants or objects on the plowed tile.
*Considered a long-term bug, plowed land will spread to adjacent tiles. It is recommended to surround fields with paved stone to prevent this.

=== Stomp to Dirt ===
[[File:actstomp.png]]''(<u>A</u>dventure ->&nbsp;La<u>n</u>dscaping ->&nbsp;Stomp to <u>D</u>irt)''

Requires [[Farming]] skill to perform.

This command converts any eligible tile into [[Dirt Terrain]]
==Laying Stone, Brick, and Metal==
=== Lay stone ===
[[File:actstone.png]]''(<u>A</u>dventure ->&nbsp;La<u>n</u>dscaping ->&nbsp;Lay Stone)''

Requires [[Stone Working]] skill to perform.

This command converts any eligible tile into [[Paved Ground]] at a rate of 1 [[Stone]] to 1 tile

'''Notes:'''
*Paved ground can be [[glossary#speed|Ran]] on with negligible stamina drain.
*Paved ground It prevents the spawning of animals and forageables
*Paving over Crops is possible, though they cannot be replanted without removing the Paved Ground first
*Building interiors and cellars can also be paved, though the effect is purely cosmetic.

=== Lay Brick ===
[[File:actbrick.png]]''(<u>A</u>dventure ->&nbsp;La<u>n</u>dscaping ->&nbsp;Lay <u>B</u>rick)''

Requires [[Masonry]] skill to perform.

Much like Lay Stone, this command converts eligible tiles into a brick floor at a rate of 1 [[Brick]] to 1 tile.

Each type of [[Clay]] gives a different colour of brick when fired in an oven, and this is reflected in the color of the brick floor. Appear magical with a yellow brick road, or give off an imperial air with black bricks!

'''Notes:'''
*See above

=== Lay Metal ===
[[File:actmetal.png]]''(<u>A</u>dventure ->&nbsp;La<u>n</u>dscaping ->&nbsp;Lay G<u>o</u>ld)''

Requires [[Metal Working]] skill to perform.

Much like Lay Stone, this command converts eligible tiles into a metal floor at a rate of 1 [[Nugget of Any Metal|Metal Nugget]] to 1 tile.

'''Notes:'''
Sketchbook pages also have the ability to change one building material of an already built object, provided you have at least one of the building martial to wish to change it to. Doing this consumes the Sketchbook page.
Hey, re: [[Symbel]] being deleted, can we get the table that used to be there re-added to the top of [[:Category:The_Symbel]] perhaps? I used that all the time and it being gone is pretty annoying. Ideally this would be automatic, but we do already do it in some other places (see [[:Category:Baked_Goods]] and others). Way more handy than opening up dozens of tabs.
Those tree pages not redundant.- As jummy told they are used for redirect pages. But i think, every ingame item must have their own page. All links to tables must be added to item page, same for tables. --[[User:Rootconsoler|Rootconsoler]] ([[User talk:Rootconsoler|talk]]) 12:23, 1 March 2017 (EST)

Why do we have separate pages for different trees, when all the information is neatly organized on [[Tree]]? It seems redundant, and I think we should just do away with independent tree pages.

[[User:NotJimmy97|NotJimmy97]] ([[User talk:NotJimmy97|talk]])

Yeah, I understand that it feels redundant, but I wanted each tree to have its separate page in order to be able to link specific trees in articles. before I gave each tree its own page, most trees were dead links. While it would be reasonable to have each tree redirect to the tree page, I wanted users to be able to type a tree name into the search bar and actually pull up that tree, instead of a list of ~45 trees. On top of that, certain special trees already had their own page, such as the mulberry tree and apple tree so I felt it would be reasonable to give each trees its own page and its own metabox to add info to it. I should have at least filled in the metabox info for each tree, but that is quite a bit of work. Ideally, each tree page would have a description of block and board textures as well, without having to visit the [[Block of Wood]] and [[Board]] page

I did however change the metabox to link to the [[tree]] page in the first sentence of each tree page, so that should at least help users find useful info on the (unfortunately) empty pages

--[[User:Ricky|Ricky]] ([[User talk:Ricky|talk]]) 22:06, 22 January 2017 (EST)

I think those special trees only had pages during legacy. There's no special information conveyed on the Apple or Mulberry tree pages that isn't already sufficiently described in [[Tree]], [[Apple Pie]], or [[Silk Cloth]].

[[User:NotJimmy97|NotJimmy97]] ([[User talk:NotJimmy97|talk]])

By That logic, we should also remove every food item and curiosity and simply use the tables.

Within the next week, I'll go through and actually add information to the individual tree pages, and create a table similar to the FEP/curio tables that can pull info from each tree page which will appear on the infobox table on the main [[Tree]] page.

The [[{{PAGENAME}}]](B12, for short) deals {{#show:{{PAGENAME}}|?basedmg}} base damage, the highest in the game. This power comes at a cost, as the axe increases attack cooldowns by 25%. It is also considerably expensive to craft, requiring twelve [[Bar of Steel|Bars of Steel]], and two [[Hardened Leather]].

The [[{{PAGENAME}}]] must be equipped in both hand slots and counts as both a cutting tool and an axe as well as being an edged weapon.

The name of this axe originates from the producers of Dwarf Fortress, Bay 12 Games. Members of the Bay 12 forums were one of the first major groups to start playing Haven &amp; Hearth, establishing the town of Bottleneck. Jorb has stated that this is the first, and last time that items will be named after communities that join the game.

For information on the [[{{PAGENAME}}]] in the legacy version of the game, see [[Legacy:Battleaxe of the Twelfth Bay]]
