Foxes are not aggressive to players but will attack any [[Rabbit|rabbits]] or [[Chicken|chickens]] nearby. A player can pick up the corpse of the small creature afterwards.

At the World 4, you`ll be most likely killed if you`ll be KO`ed by any creature - they`ll just murder you. Thus, if you`re not sure if you`re able to slay beast - just run, it is the best option.

== Combat behavior ==

They will attack with a bite or claw when their attack meter is full. They have moves that will grant them initiative points as well as filling both attack and defense meter. Sometimes they'll use a move which grants them combat advantage. It happens rarely, but when it does, it's used repeatedly as long as fox has enough initiative points. Most of the time, they ignore this skill for the full duration of the battle, even if they have enough points to use it.

== How to fight them ==

If you are not able to damage them at the first attack, you may want to use dash to gain initiative points to use sidestep for balance while keeping your defense meter full. You only need a few balance advantage before getting initiative to attack.

If you find yourself losing defense more than you can recover, you may want to take the offensive path instead by using charge to get initiative to about 9-14 before using opportunity knocks before following that quickly (or it will regain the defense meter) with an attack. Hopefully, you can cause it to flee or at least severely wound it.

I'm not exactly pro at wikis, but some method needs to be devised for our friends in different countries. Articles that can be filed under a different name (in the native language) should be. I'll try thinking up a way to categorize these in a fair way. As for articles that will share a common name, some other system needs to be added to keep information separate. I think that using an horizontal rule may be all that's needed.

: I think we have a bunch of stub templates floating around because we have a whole bunch of pages that are incomplete. Some of them are probably left in place after sufficient info was added, but many of those pages really need more help.

: I agree that some of the pages are far too simplistic. As we trip over them we are improving them. I am happy when someone starts a page, even if it is incomplete; we can then flesh it out as we know more.

: We have been adding hyperlinks to many of the pages. I am not sure which ones you have been looking at. We have also been adding links to pages as we see them being added (for instance, [[:Category:Herbs]]).

<h2>Server being offline</h2>(Unconfirmed)
Several notices on forums have been asking if the server is offline, and none of the computers in my house, nor my mobile cellphone can enter the website either (which they could about an hour ago).
This post is solely temporarily, until the server is back up. Just letting you know you're not the only one.
(If you CAN log in, please modify this post saying so)

Some players can log in and some can not. The reason for this is unknown. No players appear to have minimaps.

I am able to log in with little lag. I can only do about 10 "actions" before Gilbertus Client receives a handshake error. The server logs me off, it is not a crash as I can log back in.

I am able to log in with Gilbertus, no connection problems (aside from the minimap). It's so lonely.

Any known fixes, please post asap :)
(And to those loners out there, be nice and don't steal from villages whilest they can't log in)

working fine for me. no-one else on my kinlist is online but although the website is down, I'm getting somewhat reliable gameplay *works fine for 10 minutes, freeze, restarting client fixes problem*.

I can conect too but after that the Gilbertus client crashes. The command window show this message (I put in in pastebin.com -> [http://pastebin.com/Wt5uhCRF]). (other thing, when i craft a pipe the item only show an interrogant)

Yes, I'm getting the ? too.
I also just crashed after having opened a crate (to see if items still showed as ?)

Sever appears to be ok for me after a little hickup, website is still down at this current time. Up untill a few moments ago i would be able to login for a few seconds maybe a little longer before client crash with the command window from Gilbertus showing java errors to a number of codeing areas. Main error i am having seems to be attempting to resolve to or access www.havenandhearth.com/res to get the texture for the elm tree.

Random disconnects appear to be happening without client errors, normal login attempts provide "user already logged in" error, restarting client appears to resolve issue untill next disconnection. Sizeable time between disconnects, minor annoyance... dont try and kill animals

Was able to play perfectly fine until I purchased the sericulture skill, at which point my client crashed from not being able to find the image for a silk filament (which I have not seen in game yet). Therefore, I would assume that the server holding the resources for the game is down, so if you need to download any resources the the client crashes from being unable to do so. If you can log in, don't buy any skills that let you craft items you haven't seen before, and if you can't log in, then you need to wait for the server to come back up.

The official client doesn't want to work for me. The process "javaw.exe" keeps stacking in my task manager with every failure. The game was working for me earlier today, probably around 5 hours ago. I was playing while the website was down, but I eventually got disconnected. I'll see if restarting my computer helps maybe.<br />
The 32bit Gilbertus client I downloaded sometime during world 3 allowed me to login my account, but it crashed when I tried to select a character. I'm guessing I should get an updated version, though.

On Sunday, January 9th, Jorb announced on the forum ([http://www.havenandhearth.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=14013&sid=23055c1d3ba97902473657cf9ca9ab85 link]) that a recent change had introduced data corruption to the current database for World 3. It was determined that the only satisfactory fix was a reset of the world. It was announced that within 36-48 hours a complete wipe and reset would occur, starting what will be known as World 4. At that time, all characters will be reset, and all players will need to make new characters. Due to the short notice and bug, no major gameplay, mechanics, or ruleset changes are expected.

World 4 is now open!

<h2>Server being offline</h2>(Unconfirmed)
Several notices on forums have been asking if the server is offline, and none of the computers in my house, nor my mobile cellphone can enter the website either (which they could about an hour ago).
This post is solely temporarily, until the server is back up. Just letting you know you're not the only one.
(If you CAN log in, please modify this post saying so)

Some players can log in and some can not. The reason for this is unknown. No players appear to have minimaps.

I am able to log in with little lag. I can only do about 10 "actions" before Gilbertus Client receives a handshake error. The server logs me off, it is not a crash as I can log back in.

I am able to log in with Gilbertus, no connection problems (aside from the minimap). It's so lonely.

Any known fixes, please post asap :)
(And to those loners out there, be nice and don't steal from villages whilest they can't log in)

working fine for me. no-one else on my kinlist is online but although the website is down, I'm getting somewhat reliable gameplay *works fine for 10 minutes, freeze, restarting client fixes problem*.

I can conect too but after that the Gilbertus client crashes. The command window show this message (I put in in pastebin.com -> [http://pastebin.com/Wt5uhCRF]). (other thing, when i craft a pipe the item only show an interrogant)

Yes, I'm getting the ? too.
I also just crashed after having opened a crate (to see if items still showed as ?)

Sever appears to be ok for me after a little hickup, website is still down at this current time. Up untill a few moments ago i would be able to login for a few seconds maybe a little longer before client crash with the command window from Gilbertus showing java errors to a number of codeing areas. Main error i am having seems to be attempting to resolve to or access www.havenandhearth.com/res to get the texture for the elm tree.

Random disconnects appear to be happening without client errors, normal login attempts provide "user already logged in" error, restarting client appears to resolve issue untill next disconnection. Sizeable time between disconnects, minor annoyance... dont try and kill animals

Was able to play perfectly fine until I purchased the sericulture skill, at which point my client crashed from not being able to find the image for a silk filament (which I have not seen in game yet). Therefore, I would assume that the server holding the resources for the game is down, so if you need to download any resources the the client crashes from being unable to do so. If you can log in, don't buy any skills that let you craft items you haven't seen before, and if you can't log in, then you need to wait for the server to come back up.

The official client doesn't want to work for me. The process "javaw.exe" keeps stacking in my task manager with every failure. The game was working for me earlier today, probably around 5 hours ago. I was playing while the website was down, but I eventually got disconnected. I'll see if restarting my computer helps maybe.<br />
The 32bit Gilbertus client I downloaded sometime during world 3 allowed me to login my account, but it crashed when I tried to select a character. I'm guessing I should get an updated version, though.

On Sunday, January 9th, Jorb announced on the forum ([http://www.havenandhearth.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=14013&sid=23055c1d3ba97902473657cf9ca9ab85 link]) that a recent change had introduced data corruption to the current database for World 3. It was determined that the only satisfactory fix was a reset of the world. It was announced that within 36-48 hours a complete wipe and reset would occur, starting what will be known as World 4. At that time, all characters will be reset, and all players will need to make new characters. Due to the short notice and bug, no major gameplay, mechanics, or ruleset changes are expected.

World 4 is now open!

Vikingdragons:

Played in the last part of World 2, the first part of World 3, and hopefully all of World 4!

I plan on creating a Dragonic Republic, made of a several willing villages and/or internally established villages. It will promote peace, freedom, independance, justice, and trade.

<h2>Server being offline</h2>(Unconfirmed)
Several notices on forums have been asking if the server is offline, and none of the computers in my house, nor my mobile cellphone can enter the website either (which they could about an hour ago).
This post is solely temporarily, until the server is back up. Just letting you know you're not the only one.
(If you CAN log in, please modify this post saying so)

Some players can log in and some can not. The reason for this is unknown. No players appear to have minimaps.

I am able to log in with little lag. I can only do about 10 "actions" before Gilbertus Client receives a handshake error. The server logs me off, it is not a crash as I can log back in.

I am able to log in with Gilbertus, no connection problems (aside from the minimap). It's so lonely.

Any known fixes, please post asap :)
(And to those loners out there, be nice and don't steal from villages whilest they can't log in)

working fine for me. no-one else on my kinlist is online but although the website is down, I'm getting somewhat reliable gameplay *works fine for 10 minutes, freeze, restarting client fixes problem*.

I can conect too but after that the Gilbertus client crashes. The command window show this message (I put in in pastebin.com -> [http://pastebin.com/Wt5uhCRF]). (other thing, when i craft a pipe the item only show an interrogant)

Yes, I'm getting the ? too.
I also just crashed after having opened a crate (to see if items still showed as ?)

Sever appears to be ok for me after a little hickup, website is still down at this current time. Up untill a few moments ago i would be able to login for a few seconds maybe a little longer before client crash with the command window from Gilbertus showing java errors to a number of codeing areas. Main error i am having seems to be attempting to resolve to or access www.havenandhearth.com/res to get the texture for the elm tree.

Random disconnects appear to be happening without client errors, normal login attempts provide "user already logged in" error, restarting client appears to resolve issue untill next disconnection. Sizeable time between disconnects, minor annoyance... dont try and kill animals

Using Gilbertus' client, I can authenticate my log in, but cannot connect to the server. Not sure what's going on. No crash. Just can't connect.

Deathscreton once more. I feel that there may be varying versions of the Gilbertus client around on the web. If one of the above users would so kindly post where they received their copy of the client, this would help avoid any further errors and bottle neck what issues people are having.

Was able to play perfectly fine until I purchased the sericulture skill, at which point my client crashed from not being able to find the image for a silk filament (which I have not seen in game yet). Therefore, I would assume that the server holding the resources for the game is down, so if you need to download any resources the the client crashes from being unable to do so. If you can log in, don't buy any skills that let you craft items you haven't seen before, and if you can't log in, then you need to wait for the server to come back up.

The official client doesn't want to work for me. The process "javaw.exe" keeps stacking in my task manager with every failure. The game was working for me earlier today, probably around 5 hours ago. I was playing while the website was down, but I eventually got disconnected. I'll see if restarting my computer helps maybe.<br />
The 32bit Gilbertus client I downloaded sometime during world 3 allowed me to login my account, but it crashed when I tried to select a character. I'm guessing I should get an updated version, though.

i played eariler when the website crashed, didn't get kicked but did stop playing. come back, no success getting the website to load, keep getting conflicting reasons when i diagnosis. also, fixed the grief (which looked russian or a similar language)

On Sunday, January 9th, Jorb announced on the forum ([http://www.havenandhearth.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=14013&sid=23055c1d3ba97902473657cf9ca9ab85 link]) that a recent change had introduced data corruption to the current database for World 3. It was determined that the only satisfactory fix was a reset of the world. It was announced that within 36-48 hours a complete wipe and reset would occur, starting what will be known as World 4. At that time, all characters will be reset, and all players will need to make new characters. Due to the short notice and bug, no major gameplay, mechanics, or ruleset changes are expected.

World 4 is now open!
