Trolls are the strongest creatures in the game, with 800 HP at level one, and doing over 300 damage per strike. Trolls are also extremely rare with only a handful of reported encounters of finding them when mining out a tile underground. Little is known about them, their unique drops have no none uses and the extreme rarity has prevented anyone from giving detailed information on their combat abilities and their loot details.
They do not appear to have the ability to cross over the body of a dead player nor the ability to cross water, allowing for ranged fighters to take them down easily. Their level seems to be dependent on the depth of the mine they are found in.
The quality of all troll materials (Hide, meat, bones/skull) is equal to Troll Level*200. Raw Hide and Meat are softcapped by Survival and your carving tool. Bones are only softcapped by Survival
