Hurt is a now defunct legacy mechanic in which certain (mostly raw food) with 'Hurt' FEP can increase the chance of having a Black Food Event. This will do HHP damage to you, and can be dangerous!

Quoting Jorb: "There are also black food events which, on triggering, deal 5 HHP damage to your character. These are gained by eating some less wholesome foodstuffs, such as raw meat."
