Tried crafting a Tin Soldier with Q24 Charcoal, 1 Smithing and 25 Strength. Used 8 Q24 Tin Nuggets. Resulting quality was 14.
I'm taking a good guess that it's softcapped by Sqrt Strength*Smithing. The result fits perfectly, and like all Alloying Crucible recipes, it doesn't seem to be taking the Charcoal's quality into the formula.
If anyone could confirm this, it would be great. As for now, I'm adding this information at the article. --DrakeSaint (talk) 09:37, 16 December 2013 (EST)
