Keymolds are used to create copies of keys.
How to Acquire
Right-click on a piece of clay with a key to create a keymold. The clay will take the shape of the key and you will be able to create as many copies as you want, but you'll need one nugget of any metal per key. To make the key, right-click on the nugget with your mold. The new key will simply be called "Key"; it doesn't take the name of the original.
Note that all keymolds will have the same generic name and appearance. If you don't remember which keymold was used for which key, the only way to find out is to make a key using the mold, then trying the key on different gates until it fits.
It is not recommended to leave a mold lying around just anywhere when you're done with it, since it compromises your security just as much as leaving a key itself lying around does. Either store them on a key-alt or dispose of it in some way. By throwing them in a river or lake (stand in shallow water and drop it) it will be gone for good, but you should keep in mind that leaving the security of your home with a keymold in your inventory is as big a risk as taking an actual key with you.
