Unsure, however it most likely does. Due to the length and price for manufacturing steel not much in the way of formulas have been posted. DatOneGuy 19:55, May 24, 2010 (UTC)

Quality of coal / fuel / crucible seems to have no impact on quality of steel. I have put 2 wrought irons of quality 25 and 28 and 2 coals of quality 40. Crucible's quality was around 40. Fueled with quality 38-43 coal, and as a result I got ql 25 and 28 steel bars.
