Snizlefoot 16:41, May 24, 2010 (UTC) does the Steel Crucible's fuel affect the quality?

Unsure, however it most likely does. Due to the length and price for manufacturing steel not much in the way of formulas have been posted. DatOneGuy 19:55, May 24, 2010 (UTC)

Quality of coal / fuel / crucible seems to have no impact on quality of steel. I have put 2 wrought irons of quality 25 and 28 and 2 coals of quality 40. Crucible's quality was around 40. Fueled with quality 38-43 coal, and as a result I got ql 25 and 28 steel bars.--Procne2 03:59, 25 June 2011 (CDT)

Now the real question is, if you had put q10 coal, would it have lowered quality? --Cairon 14:22, 25 June 2011 (CDT)

The quality of coal/fuel/crucible will softcap the steel. The approximate formula for how much the softcap is is:

(CoalQ + CrucibleQ + FuelQ)/3

Does the fuel glitch work with this? if i left the mats and one piece and of charcoal in the crucible for a considerable amount of time, then lit it, would that work?--Urist McCarpenter 16:49, 23 December 2011 (EST)

The fuel glitch does not work on this. The wrought iron has a progress bar during the time it is being made into steel. --ApocalypsePlease 01:39, 28 December 2011 (EST)

Number of block tics on this page is inconsistent whith that on fuel (here block got 5 tics, on fuel 4 tics)--Rook (talk) 15:20, 16 July 2013 (EDT)
