Error States

These are issues wide ranging and can cause problems from a simple message like "you can't do this here" to being unable to log in or even a failure to launch the client.

Issues Launching the client These are issues that come up when attempting to run Haven & Hearth. Problems could be anything from hardware issues, incompatibility, a bad download or wrong software, to network issues. We'll try to solve some of the more common problems here and give solutions to how to fix or work around them.

Issues Logging In These are error messages that a player might encounter when trying to log into the game, selecting a character, and trying to load into the game world. Problems could be anything from wrong account information, network issues, or the state the character was in when it was logged out

Unable to log into this location: This error is caused when something is occupying the same location the character was in the last time it was logged out (either by player quitting or a disconnect). You may receive an option to log in at your hearth fire. If you decline, you'll be unable to log into that character for now. As a workaround, if you have another character in the area, you can log in to that one and see what the blocking item is and move it, then try to log in on the first character again.

Logged out over water: If a character ends up logged out over deep water, typically logging out or getting disconnected while in a Rowboat or Knarr, there will be a message as to why it's not possible to log in there. Sometimes the boat was moved, sometimes it gets destroyed. The only option here is to accept and log in at the hearth fire.

Error messages in the game These are generally error messages you receive while in the game. We'll try to tell you what they mean and how to solve them. Some messages may be specific to an item, and others may be a general announcement that there is an issue with the game.
