Craft > Parchment

You need a blank parchment to draw a new map. You can also use a blank parchment to write messages, it works the same way a Runestone does.

Bug: Unwritten-parchment message-input boxes can't be closed directly. To close them either drop the parchment on the ground, or if its in a container(not inventory), open & close any container or close your inventory box.

How to Acquire

Any type of hide works, giving 1 piece of parchment for every space it takes in your inventory: Rabbit Fur gives you 1 parchment, where the Dried Hide gives you 4 parchments. Sheep skin is an exception and gives four pieces of parchment instead of two.
