I'm inclined to think Q is avg of berries softcaped by survival of the crafting character; unfortunatly i lack the berries to test-confirm this atm (it definitly is not just the berries avg thou) --Rook 03:41, 16 March 2012 (EDT)

The base quality formula and possible additional softcapping are treated as two separate parts. The base quality formula is probebly correct. (with a probably final survival softcap). (Don't have the berries to test it either.) --MvGulik 01:59, 17 March 2012 (EDT)
