None resource types

Not sure about maintaining the "Sharp Tool", "Table" and "Toolbelt" cases. They are non input-resources for crafts or Builds.
(There odd ones compare to the others. Minor: They probably will not get there own in-game type-icon.)

  • "Sharp Tool" => General processing(butchering/cutting) tool.
  • "Tables" => Food processing(eating/feasting) tool.

... Some alternate type-classing come to mind here. But not sure about that yet, as some other related stuff needs to be solved first.

IMO in-wiki classification should make an explicit distinction between in-game generics and wiki-only categories. By "in-game categories" I mean those that are displayed in game (as crafting input, in material accounts, barter stand price picker). E. g. "Any Stuffing" is a true "game class-type" while "Sharp Tool" or "Table" is more like "wiki-only" category. Somewhat related to Category talk:Forageables. --Tmp0340 (talk) 05:41, 2 March 2025 (UTC)
In general I kinda agree. But so far I have no clear solution.
The more or less strict in-game classifications where only possible due to the exposed data in the material-account. (Which is limited to related classes that the player has discovered.)
The "waterflask" for example gives no material-account data on its own (only on its content if it has any). I'm sure is has some in-game-system based class or classification. It just not exposed as such on the user side of the game, ergo the rise of wiki-only classifications inside the generics-tree. (which I left there as a reminder of the potential issue)
For a potential separation I think some definitions are needed first. --.MvGulik. 18:12, 2 March 2025 (UTC)

Type-class'ing.

Currently there are a number of items that function both as: a real-in-game-item, and a type-class. (Soil and Milk come to mind.) This creates a bit of a page-separation problems between the two cases.

To separate them I only see one options. Using some additional leading, or trailing, text for type-class pages.

Although coding it might trigger some unexpected issues. Which names to use is actually the bigger roadblock.

Targets in question are:

  • The Infobox "specific" var-name.

Technically those "specific" used inputs are type-classes that apply to some object/item. (on top of there own class, if it has one (The new "Peat" item comes to mind).)
Personally I never kinda liked the name "specific", but never found some alternative name that seemed much better. Using "Type-class(es)" as name might be technically true, is also pretty general.

  • The Leading text for type-pages.

Used in folder-name style like "TypePage/<SomeTypeName>". Although technically Mediawiki will just see it as a pagename with a "/" in it. As such I think the shorter the better.

  • Anything I might have overlooked in this.

Type, class, group, TC/, CG/, GT/... ?

Ergo: If anyone has some related ideas on this. Let me know.
Additional explanation so I can better understand the reasoning behind some idea/name, the better.

Hmm, Yea. As expected.
To bad I have no bulk "Material accounts" access, and not knowing which client could extract and file dump them on the fly.
