A newbie character was unable to even inspect a tarpit to find out how much was in it.
The newbie's skills were: - Animal Husbandry - Baking - Beekeeping - Boatbuilding - Carpentry - Farming - Fishing - Foraging - Gardening - Hearth Magic - Hunting - Lumberjacking - Oral Tradition - Plant Lore - Pottery - Primitive Tools - Rope Twining - Sewing - Stone Working - Swimming - Tanning - The Will to Power - Wilderness Survival
If I had to guess, the problem was probably due to lack of Wheelwrighting, or something in its path.
Tar pit is different from other localized resources. I have every skill in the game and cannot inspect it. Also, it CAN be claimed by personal claims. I will edit the page. Phaen (talk) 08:52, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
