Template documentation (for the template shown above, sometimes hidden or invisible)
- Description
- This template creates its own section, and fills it with related patch records for the game-item page it is used on.
- The section header has no edit option, which is intentional.
- Patch records are ordered from newest at the top, to oldest at the bottom.
- Record/entries coming from the same patch ... use some odd random order. (Its a SMW thing)
- Usage
- Simply add a new line with "
{{Game Development}}
" at the end of the page-source.- End-of-document exception: Navigation footer templates. Those should stay below the {{Game Development}} call.
- Parameters
- Only one unnamed parameter that takes an integer value. Which is used to change the default "Game Development" header level. The default is header-level 2.
- Header-level 3 example: "
{{Game Development|3}}
"
- Header-level 3 example: "
- Utilises
- Template:Game Development: A redirect-page to enable the "Game Development" name for the call. As that's also the name that is used for the section header.
- Template:Game updates/out: Sub-template that takes care of the actual, per line/record, output. (currently its using the general "patch" & "quote" templates as fast solution to get the job done.)
- Example output
- (which is empty in this case)
Game Development (empty)- See the "What links here" page for a list of pages that use the "Game Development" call.
- Used data
- The data used directly by this template is coming from the Game Updates/Changes year pages.
- The final printout also uses some additional data that's coming from the main Game Updates page itself.
- Related data-tracker categories
- Category:PCPa - Pages with returned development data.
- Category:Zero patch pages - Pages with empty development data.
- Category:PCPm - Pages with leftover manual patch-linkups.
