Ticks are actually 5 minutes long, branches just burn for 5 minutes and 33 seconds. Posted by DDDsDD999 http://www.havenandhearth.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=31656&start=10#p413072 --Borka 04:01, 13 June 2013 (EDT)

Just so we have accurate baking times (instead of approximate), I'm going to say straight up that 1 tick = 5 mins, 33 seconds (333 seconds). This is something I recorded precisely before I stopped playing. If you are going to put down a baking time, use this time, instead of the generic "5-6mins" --ApocalypsePlease 21:15, 29 November 2011 (EST)

With HnH2 in mind. I think that using/locking a tick to a particular time period is somewhat troublesome, as it makes it inflexible for when there are multiple fixed time periods for different processes in the game. In addition using the word cycle might be a option/alternative too. In case of the burning times for fuels Fuel tick/cycle or Burning tick/cycle seems more appropriate. Although Burning tick/cycle is ambiguous here, as it also could target the time period that items use/need to be (at least) in a burning oven/kiln to be baked/burned (ignoring burn bug). Example: A germinated wheat needs to have at least 5:00 minutes burning/bake time to turn into a Malted Wheat at the end of a single 5:33 Fuel-burning cycle. --.MvGulik. 03:45, 24 August 2015 (EDT)
