Global changed.

I saw this edit, and did the edit globally across RoB (50+ pages, bot-run). (finished) Similar global edits can be requested if needed. --.MvGulik. 17:04, 15 December 2020 (UTC)

Wow! I didn't know that was possible. I'm still learning the fancy wiki stuff Phaen (talk) 18:10, 15 December 2020 (UTC)

Ps: Something you might find useful (if you have not seen it yet). Property:Menu_usage_raw -> "Unique data list". --.MvGulik. 09:37, 18 December 2020 (UTC)

No I haven't seen this before. How is it meant to be used? Is the data from the wiki or from haven game files? Phaen (talk) 19:52, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
Its the dynamic collection/(wiki property) of all the GM(GameMenu) templates calls used on the RoB. The 'Unique data list', for example, showed me that the Finery Forge hotkey path was probably outdated (when I was updating the GM 'pies' cases). --.MvGulik. 05:12, 19 December 2020 (UTC)

Unfixable links (legacy ns)

I spotted a few legacy pages that generated unfixable links. But now I'm starting to think there are possibly a lot more of those. As you did some major link fixing for legacy pages. Did you spotted some, or a lot, of pages that where doing that. If there a lot of those troublesome pages I probably should take a closer look at it (although I probably can't fix this particular (and reaccuring :/ ) issue). --.MvGulik. 18:09, 23 December 2020 (UTC)

Yes, unfortunately there are one or two hundred broken links that seemed to be coming from Legacy pages and I don't know how that is happening. Example: the Legacy:Rabbit Meat page somehow creates a broken link to Rabbit Meat but I don't understand how. Does it have something to do with templates or infobox thing? -Phaen (talk) 18:15, 23 December 2020 (UTC)
Mmm, good point. I have not looked if the used templates might be the reason. Think its unlikely ... although, come to think of it, it might. I will check to be sure. There have been similar unfixable hidden/bad-link cases in the past, but never that meany. So template starts to sound more probably in this case. --.MvGulik. 18:27, 23 December 2020 (UTC)
Yep. Its template related. Fixing might take some time. --.MvGulik. 18:36, 23 December 2020 (UTC)
Could you explain a little more? I would love to learn about the template and how it did that Phaen (talk) 18:37, 23 December 2020 (UTC)
Currently not sure what 'specifically' is triggering it yet, other than its template related. But will explain when I have figured it out. --.MvGulik. 18:46, 23 December 2020 (UTC)
*facepalm* I should have known.
In a nutshell. The culprit is a {{#ifexist:...}} function I used in the OutdatedPage template. It checks if a given page exits, which on its own is very useful. But it also has a nasty side effect of generating a wanted-page entry for the specified target page.
Not sure yet about a potential alternative to replace that ifexist. But as I see those additional links as a major problem now, it has to go ... somehow. --.MvGulik. 19:33, 23 December 2020 (UTC)
Fixed. The change should slowly be globally applied automatically (I hope). If needed, a null-edit of a page will do the trick for that particular page too. --.MvGulik. 20:30, 23 December 2020 (UTC)
Thanks! I'll pick through the Wanted Pages list and do some null edits. Phaen (talk) 21:22, 23 December 2020 (UTC)
