A Sling is a one-handed projectile weapon that requires a stone as the ammunition. It is often used by players who have low Marksmanship skill, as it is twice as easy to aim with than the Bow. However, the sling does lower damage than the bow - 60 base damage. Damage increases with the quality of the sling, while the aiming speed increases with both sling quality and the wielder's Marksmanship skill.
Quality of the Sling appears to be the lowest quality of String used to make it though this is still unclear; however, it is a safe bet than string quality and survival do play a part.
