Heya, Abagraba.

The FEP output of foods based on quality has already been determined. Take a look here, where it's stated:

y = Sqrt(x/10) where x = quality and y = improvment factor

This formula is proven true, and is reinforced by the number figures you've given. (Q22 = ~10.4 FEP, Q27 = ~11.5 FEP, Q40 = 14 FEP).
