Press grapes in a winepress to get grape seeds and grape juice. Grape juice must be put in a wine barrel to ferment into wine.
The only other way to get grape seeds is to eat the grapes or maybe get them from a Wild Windsown Weed. So the winepress is useful to keep you from having to eat lots and lots of grapes when you don't want to.
