Burrows are special areas found commonly across the Hearthlands. Unlike caves, burrows occur on flat land, usually on forest terrain.
Properties
Burrows work similar to houses in that they allows Hearthlings to store their belongings inside. But one can't build cupboard inside a burrow.
The borrows interior space can range in size from: a minimal of 4x4, a usually 4x5, or higher. The bigger the interior, the more rarer they become.
The biggest burrow spotted so far. 6x9. (was 6x6 before w15. W15 potentially changed this)
Burrows appear to serve no special purpose, besides functioning as cheap and natural shelter for new players. The dirt floor in a burrow cannot be plowed, dug, or paved. You can't expand the burrow by mining.
Destructibility
Boars and any animal bigger than them (verify) chasing you in combat can destroy the burrow, forcing you to be ejected and KO'd.
It's possible to hide in a burrow before you get attacked if both a hostile animal and burrow are nearby.
Burrows can be destroyed by a mere default hearthling with an axe. It just takes a while.
