Sling damage
The page gives the usual formula of sqrt(q/10), so by definition a sling should have 30 dmg at q 40. But I have one at exact 40.0, and the listed dmg is 28. (I have 35 mrk and 61 per if that's relevant) Ashghan (talk) 10:14, 21 November 2024 (UTC)
- Weapons and damage are not my expertise. +Perhaps dev's changes something, but I have no means to determine that. --.MvGulik. 11:36, 21 November 2024 (UTC)
- Aha. Yea. Added a related verify call & marked it as (potential) outdated. You can do similar edits for other stuff you think is outdated. --.MvGulik. 20:21, 22 November 2024 (UTC)
- After a bit of testing there seems to be a hardcap. Kami client shows actual damage based on stats and quality. it was 28 with the stats above. I upgraded mrk to 40 and nothing changed. But I noticed now, that after reloading the client (day later), the displayed damage value did increase to 30. So, it seems that mrk caps effective quality for the purpose of damage calc (it did 28 damage at 35 mrk and now i tested and does 30 at mrk 40). on a char with 35 per and 1 mrk it shows damage at 12 (so even below q10 damage of 15). Char with 24 per/30 mrk - damage at 28. With a few more data points someone better at math might derive a formula from it. :) Ashghan (talk) 23:53, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
Sourced removal
@MisaDiddy. When patrolling edits I have to do a quick subjective check if it feels ok to me. Do I directly know something in relation to the change. Type of edit: Big/small/addition/removal/(etc). User: New/known. And ... additional provide and useful edit related information. In this case I had very little to go by on all of those. Ergo: The verify edit so an other users could potential pick it up. I definitely would have skipped that verify edit if the related, and kinda old, patch-page url would have been in the edits description. As the patch notes would have backed up the edit. --.MvGulik. 09:24, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
