Wagons may Travel to the Wagon Station set as their Home station, which teleports them there similar to how Hearthlings can "Travel to Hearthfire" or how Knarrs can "Travel" (teleport) to their home Ship Dock.

Stations can be built most anywhere, but do not, unlike Ship Docks, confer any siege advantages to themselves or the wagon, so build them behind claimed walls.

These allow you to easily make trips to and from a place where you need a large amount delivered to or picked up from, IE taking a large load of ore from a far off mine back home or looting from a dead and decaying village, or just dropping off a bunch of stuff for a friend.

Notes

  • Its currently unclear how many wagons can be homed at the same station. So far at least 11. (probably 12,16, or something else matters here.)
  • The home station setting is solely link to the wagon.
  • A wagon can travel back home as is. Just "ride" it (no animal needed) and initiate "Travel to Station".

Game Development

  • Rotating Wolfdog (2022-01-16) >""Strongbox"es and "Wagon Station"s now require a setting time, much like houses and palisades, before reaching their full soak values. I.e. when first built they can be destroyed without much effort."
  • Circle the Wagon (2020-08-30) >"Added "Wagon Station", analogous to a Ship Dock, Wagons may now travel to the Wagon Station set as their Home station. Stations can be built most anywhere, but do not, unlike ship docks, confer any siege advantages to themselves or the wagon, so build them behind claimed walls."
