Ant Hill Dungeons are special areas found sometimes when raiding ordinary Ant Hills.
How to Find
Occasionally when you raid Ant Hills, they may reveal themselves to be more than they first appeared. - Jorb
Ant Hills are full of Ants with varying degrees of strength, Ant-related loot, Forageable Plants, Heart Containers, and rarely Seeds of Trees or Bushes. The Ant Hill Dungeon is a sight to behold as the player is swept into a wholly unique, albeit small, world.
These are the third and latest type of dungeon that has been introduced to the game.
Getting Through the Ant Hill
Before entering the hill by Right-clicking on it, the player must be aware that the difficulty level inside is random. Once inside, your hearthling won't be able to teleport to their Hearth Fire, even if they get knocked out. If they run low on health, Right=click the exit and make a dash for it.
The Ants inside are fairly weak compared to the inhabitants of the Bat Cave Dungeons and Beaver Lodge Dungeons, thus making them easier to fight. Most wounds you receive from them can be healed with Yarrow.
There are sometimes issues concerning keys within the Ant Hill Dungeon - some rooms have infinitely spawning ants; such ants will drop keys that have a discernible yellow glow. Those keys open the door nearest to the room from which they were dropped - they will not work on any other doors. Also you can find a special key on a stand that fit only for another stand to open the final rooms - if you lost this key, it will respawn on stand after 3 RL days. All keys looks the same - so it's a good idea not pick up more than one droppable keys - they will vanish after use and you will not lost, faildrop or confused where a special key then.
Chests contain a random assortment of loot including Gems, Curious Needles, Ant Meat, Wild Dreams, foragebles, and Seeds.
Killing an Ant Queen triggers the Sundering the Hill event and will spawn a Small Heart Container somewhere within the final room.
