Ancient Root can be found when using a Ancient Windthrow - one of the Localized Resources - which can be found throughout the world in the forests.

Use

Simple right-click and select "eat" option will heal 10 HHP damage instantly at q10. Said healed HHP damage will be distributed evenly throughout all of your current wounds. This can heal all wounds, even permanent ones like Nerve Damage, Nasty Wart or Quicksilver Poisoning. See Hitpoints for list of wounds and cures. It decays over time (2-3 days)
