Category:Cuirass
Cuirasses, Breastplates, and other forms of heavy armor are worn on the Torso Armor (4R) slot.
You can, however, choose to equip a second shirt in the Torso Armor slot to take extra stat bonuses in exchange for foregoing armor.
Worth noting some shirts like the Badger Hide Vest could be considered a cuirass but are not grouped here as they are equally a gilded equipment as they are an armor, whereas the items listed here are a focused defense piece.
See also Armor for a list of all gear that grants a damage reduction.
| Item | Stat Bonus | Armor | Notes/Special Effects |
|---|---|---|---|
| -7 Agility | 20/15 Armor
450 Wear |
Great mid-game plate armor. Good defense, moderate
Agility penalty. | |
| -5 Agility | 15/15 Armor
500 Wear |
Despite being named "shirt", and despite chainmail
traditionally being worn under plate mail, the Chainmail Shirt can only be equipped to the Torso Armor (4R) slot, and won't allow you to equip a plate armor with it. | |
| +3 UA
+5 Melee +5 Stealth +2 Agility |
15/15 Armor
400 Wear |
Strong mid-game armor that gives useful stat increases and
even increases rather than reduces your Agility. | |
| -1 Agility | 4/5 Armor
100 Wear |
Affordable soft armor with minor defense and minor Agility
penalty. | |
| +10 Strength
+10 Melee +5 Constitution -5 Agility |
15/20 Armor
600 Wear |
Mid to end-game armor made from a Mammoth.
Strong defense and stat increases, moderate Agility penalty. Be warned that wearing equipment that increases your Constitution can get you killed if it is removed (by you, or perhaps your assailant) while you're at very low HHP. | |
| -10 Agility | 25/15 Armor
100 Wear |
Formidable steel plate. Strongest armor in the game.
High defense, high Agility penalty. | |
| -1 Agility | 2/3 Armor
140 Wear |
First available Torso Armor. Cheap, fragile, low Armor, gives
an Agility penalty. You're generally better off using a Badger Hide Vest or waiting for your leather to tan. |
