Build > Containers > Boxes & Crates > Crate
A crate is a container which holds 15 objects in a 5x3 grid.
Crates are both easy to make for new players and a decent choice for transporting goods without using more valuable materials, making them highly useful as cheap early-game storage.
They are relatively vulnerable to decay, so they should be stored inside or on claimed land when possible. Note that if one has built a house and learned the Yeomanry skill, Cupboards offer far more efficient indoor storage at a similar resource cost.
