Yellow Onions can be eaten raw or planted as a crop, and are also used for several cooking/baking recipes, such as Chantrelle & Onion Pirozhki.
This food fills 20 units of the hunger bar and gives 1 hurt FEPs.
WARNING
Eating this food have the chance to have a Black Food Event. This will do HHP damage to you, and can be dangerous!
Quoting Jorb: "There are also black food events which, on triggering, deal 5 HHP damage to your character. These are gained by eating some less wholesome foodstuffs, such as raw meat."
How to Acquire
- Yellow Onions can be acquired by drying Wild Windsown Weed on Drying Frame or Herbalist Table.
- Harvesting a tile of planted yellow onions gives you up to 3 yellow onions depending on your Nature/Industry belief slider.
How to Use
In order to use yellow onions you have to plow a field, then left click on the onions in your inventory and right click on the plowed ground, your character will move over to the plowed field and plant the onion. Then after awhile it will become harvestable.
Unlike most crops, Yellow Onions can not be used as animal fodder.
