Silk Thread vs String

Seems like it is not as String: can't be used for crafting, repair or building as one --(Not a cat 16:16, 27 January 2019‎)

Just a thought, in case it might matter (or was changed). Has the used character the Silk-Thread required skills ?

On which items did it not work for you ? It might matter, or not. But adding that kind of additional data generally speeds up fingering out what's up.

Test character got every skill known and has all silk-related discoveries I believe. Silk Thread wasn't hi-lighted/used in rope crafting, dreamcatcher building, loom repair or as a fishing line. Same for Golden Thread actually

It is not a topic of this Talk, but verified Silk Filament too, just to be sure. And it is not a string/fishing line, current info is correct about it.

... Yea. The problem here is two fold. 1) On the Golden Thread page it says "can be used as string in some recipes.", so its known/specified that it can't be used as String-resource on all string-required-products. 2) Lack of a clear/specified standard on RoB for when an item is considered to be of type string or not (ie: specific=string). Related options: a) If it can be used as string on only a single (or more, but not all) string-required-product(s), or on all string-required-product. Currently the RoB system has no way of knowing or specifying this. ... I will have to think about that some more. Sorry im late, well when Golden Thread was introduced i figure out that both of them not count as a string and pm'd this to Jorb - he answer "Will Consider" so i decide to leave them as string(due silk thread was a string in Legacy) and hope to fix that soon. But well there were a long time ago and they are still not fixed, i just forgot about it.

Due to new world soon - might be a good point to delete their specific part now, until we will able to check it again.
