Trellis layout
Seems like the trellises now (W16) have a different hitbox (or rather - placement) than what is shown on all diagrams in this article. That is, there is now a gap required between the trellises (about half of the actual width of the trellis). The reach of the planting/harvesting only allows to use 3 trellises deep from a single side. Since all previous placement options are now invalid, should the article be cleaned up? I can add one potential setup that works now to at least give an option. Ashghan (talk) 17:13, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
- I checked the trellis hitbox. The trellis resource still has a neg-layer in it, but that's probably not used anymore as such. Simply because it now acts as a obst-layer hitbox (why, where & what data is now uses is kinda unclear to me at the moment.)
- The thing about obst-layer hitboxes is that there float-based (neg-layer is 1/11 tile-units based). And related to that obst-layer-objects generally can't be perfectly placed tow2tow anymore.
- The workaround to fit trellises, or other obst-layer objects, as close as possible it to use high or special ':placegrid' values. Like 88 instead of 11.
- (See Cupboard page for other example on this, +Dev's know about this, but just don't care.)
