FEP Table colors

(Talk moved from User talk:MvGulik)

Hey, The Category Talk:Baked Goods page has a manually made table from ~2012 (you might be familiar with it!). Was wondering if its possible to add those table colors to ask-generated tables, such as the one found on the Category:Baked goods page.
Also, it might not be a bad idea to soft delete that talk page, or movie it to a legacy page of the same name.

Yep, Talk page is Legacy only stuff. Page Moved/Renamed.
Colors in #ask table: Definitely not possible directly with a bare #ask query. But maybe that it is possible by linking up an ask-data processing template, but I'm not sure about that (yet).

After a bit of reading, this >"Definitely not possible directly with a bare #ask query." is not correct. As you can enclose the alt-header-name by html tags (ie: span). (seen example used a 'class' attribute, assuming the 'style' attribute should work too)
In-table data-cell colouring (if possible) will need to be done by an additional data-processing template. No way around that.

Maybe a Template:Infobox_metaobj can use some improvement to make background FEP colors look closer to in-game colors

The current used general FEP color set could maybe use some fine-tweaking.
I'm currently not sure if there is a real need for having two sets, one for +1 and one for +2. Which also can make picking colors a bit more tricky.
Using colors definitely can help in making things more easy to process, but its a fine line when the amount of used colors will actually result in the opposite.
How and where in RoB have you in mind for separate +1 and +2 coloring ?
:
To make potential testing of alternative color sets potentially a bit easier I will see about moving the FEP related hard-coded colors into the RoB color template.
(ps: Any personal mock-up testing (if needed) is best done in the user-space. Including separate templates if needed)
--.MvGulik. 12:13, 5 December 2019 (EST)
FEP color set tweaking was a primary goal: wiki's colors looks really off in comparison to game's tints.
Same, not sure if there is a real need for having two sets. I'd rather say no, different coloring for +1 and +2 isn't required
Thank you for separating colors into the template!

"FEP +2" colors /w 50% white look good enough to me, light and saturated just enough:
Current Suggested
STR STR
AGI AGI
INT INT
CON CON
PER PER
CHA CHA
DEX DEX
WIL WIL
PSY PSY

I'm sorry, where can i get more info about "the user-space"? Like what is it and how to use it

Looks not bad. Although DEX and WILL will need some color separating.
Trying to match in-game colors is fine, but they don't need to match perfectly. Important is that the color works nicely together and are easily distinguishable from each other (preferably also identifiable when only one or two fep colors are used).
