Everglowing Ember is a Curiosity which can be used in the Study Report to earn Learning Points.

How to Acquire

Rarely replaces Coal when burning blocks and boards inside a tar kiln.

Notes

  • Ember count as fuel, so be careful when shift-clicking!
  • Can be used to light fire or workstations with a chance to be extinguished to become normal Coal.

Some numbers

In a lone case, 26 full Tar Kilns yielded one Everglowing Ember. That is roughly a 0.025% chance of obtaining an Everglowing Ember instead of any Charcoal you would pick up.

In another two cases, 5 full Tar Kilns yielded one Everglowing Ember each consecutive cycle (160x5 twice!) both seperate instances during unloading of the 5th Kiln. The first being just before, and second case, just after, the 'Heart on Fire' Update in which Everglowing Embers were affected. These two instances yielding a 0.125% chance.

In a recent case in world 11, two Tar Kilns full of pine blocks each yielded one Everglowing ember. That makes for a 0.625% chance.

Game Development
