Black Ants are massive ants with powerful mandibles that are found as intermediate enemies within an Ant Hill Dungeon.
Note that as Black Ants are a dungeon-dwelling creature, their damage and health is slightly random; or more specifically is connected to the dungeon's invisible "difficulty" stat that all dungeons randomly roll.
Additionally dungeon enemies never flee not matter how much damage they take.
Combat
Black ants can attack with their jaws and claws as well as spit acid. Ant Spit penetrates all armor as usual.
Behaviour
As with all dungeon enemies, they are extremely aggressive in a aggro range that is moderate but not as large as yours. If a dungeon enemy aggroes you, they will additionally call all nearby enemies to aggro you as well. However, if you aggro a dungeon enemy yourself, they will not call their allies.
Naturally, they cannot aggro you through walls or objects, so use them to your advantage to gain angles where you can aggro them, but they can't aggro you, and avoid multiple aggroing you at once.
Combat Moves
Strategy
There is nothing complicated about this enemy; if you can fight a Fox you can comfortably fight Black Ants. Just don't let them outnumber you and use Quick Barrage or Sideswipe and Full Circle.
In-Game Example(s)
Dead Black Ant. Can be broken for Ant Chitin.
Skinned Black Ant. Can be butchered for Entrails, Tiny Brain and Ant Meat.
