Drug obtained by grinding Boar Tusk with Poppy Flower in a Quern. Boar Tusk Snuff stacks up to 0.1kg, and each craft produces 0.01-0.1kg of powder. Being a powder, Boar Tusk Snuff can be stored in buckets and barrels, and can be added to a Snuffbox, up to 1 kg at a time.

Boar Tusk Snuff can be right-clicked and Snuff!'d which wounds your character with Tuskalooza! while increasing your STR attribute. This means it allows you to convert your HHP into temporary Strength. This can increase your damage in melee combat, while making you more susceptible to KO. This can also make CON a useful attribute to have on a miner as excess HP becomes mining strength, and can help you to destroy buildings and objects with high Soak or HP. The higher your CON, and the more HHP you are willing to sacrifice, the more Strength you can benefit from. Be cautious not to reduce your HHP too far however; having low HHP can easily let a cave-in or animal attack KILL your Hearthling.

How to Use

Can be sniffed in order to acquire Tuskalooza! wound that buffs your Strength attribute by its wound size (IE, 40 Tuskalooza! will reduce your HHP by 40 points, but give you 40 Strength.) and diminishes rather quickly (15sec per point).

If sniffing more while already "Tuskalooza!"'d, you will, additionally, receive one point of Nose Bleed per snuff, which heals relatively quickly (30 min per point).

When Tuskalooza! disappears entirely, you will receive a Sore Snout wound, lasting for some time (12 hours per point). The size of the Sore Snout is a function of the maximum size the expiring "Tuskalooza!"-wound ever had.

The Strength granted by Tuskalooza! is a buff, and thus cannot increase your Strength further than 2x. For example, if you have 100 Strength, and snuff q10 BTS ten times, you'll be left with 100 Tuskalooza! and 100 + 100 = 200 Strength. You could then snuff ten more times to gain 200 Tuskalooza! but your Strength cannot be higher than 2x itself, and will remain at 200. (Or more specifically, 100 flat + 200 buff - 100 stat ceiling = 200) That excess Tuskalooza! isn't necessarily wasted however, as that means you will have an extra 1500 seconds, or 25 minutes, of Tuskalooza! before you start losing the Strength buff.

Dangers of Snuff Abuse

Boar Tusk Snuff itself cannot kill you, as if you try to snuff while the resultant wound would let your HHP hit zero, your Hearthling will refuse to snuff it. You can however snuff as far down as to 1 HHP, at which point any amount of damage would cause you to be KOed and killed by Concussion damage.

A simple rule of thumb is to never reduce your HHP below 20-25% of your MHP, as the maximum size of a Concussion wound is 20% of your MHP, meaning any amount of HHP below that threshold puts you at risk of dying from a Concussion as well as any wounds gained from whatever just knocked you out.

Tuskalooza! heals at a flat rate of 1 point per 15 real-life seconds and Nose Bleed heals around 1 point per 30 minutes IRL, and neither of those have any treatment.

Sore Snout heals slower, more akin to ordinary wounds at around 1 to 3 points per IRL day, but can be treated with Ant Paste, Grey Grease, Mud Ointment and Toad Butter.
