Milling Water (2024-01-22)
Patch | Date | Pages -- Remark |
---|---|---|
Change | ||
Milling Water | 2024-01-22 | Watermill -- (New Implementations) |
Added "Watermill", a small house which can be built near water, and which can power two machines. The Watermill cannot be bashed by hand, and can thus be built contiguously with walls for a measure of safety. | ||
Milling Water | 2024-01-22 | Bunny Slippers -- (Key Fixes) |
Reverted the recent changes to the speed buffs provided by the "Forager" credo and "Bunny Slippers", due to public outcry. It could perhaps be argued that "Bunny Slippers" are particularly egregious in this regard, as they enforce a meta where "Bunny Slippers" are the only footwear possible to use in PvP. Feel free to suggest changes. Reverting for now, but open to arguments. | ||
Milling Water | 2024-01-22 | Credos#Cook -- (Key Fixes) |
The "Well Cooked" buff from the "Chef" credo should now be applied to dough-type items as well, e.g. "Bread" and such. Same for the chance to double output-buff. | ||
Milling Water | 2024-01-22 | Thing Challenge -- (Key Fixes) |
Added a build exclusion zone around "Thing Challenge"s, preventing their use as wall objects. | ||
Milling Water | 2024-01-22 | <No Pages> -- (Key Fixes) / (Skipped: General bug fix) |
You should no longer get teleported into deep water if riding with swimming enabled and teleporting to a "Thingwall". | ||
Milling Water | 2024-01-22 | <No Pages> -- (Key Fixes) / (Skipped: General bug fix) |
Fixed a bug by which it was possible to road-teleport a "Knarr" into e.g. a "Catapult". | ||
Milling Water | 2024-01-22 | <No Pages> -- (Key Fixes) / (Skipped: General bug fix) |
Fixed a bug by which it was possible to instantly smelt "Well Mined" ore in "Stack Furnace"s. | ||
Milling Water | 2024-01-22 | <No Pages> -- (Small Fixes) / (Skipped: General bug fix) |
Fixed a bug which could cause loose rock objects to be destroyed instantly when being placed. | ||
Milling Water | 2024-01-22 | Credos#Cook -- (Small Fixes) |
Buffed most baked goods. | ||
Milling Water | 2024-01-22 | <No Pages> -- (Small Fixes) / (Skipped: General bug fix) |

Patch | Date | Pages -- Remark |
---|---|---|
Change | ||
Buzzcut Board | 2024-02-11 | Sawmill, Watermill, Windmill -- (New Implementations) |
Added "Sawmill", a mechanically powered machine (i.e. built in wind- or watermills) which automatically transforms logs into boards at a rate of exchange slightly better than that provided by a metal saw. | ||
Buzzcut Board | 2024-02-11 | Sawmill -- (Key Fixes) / (TMP: General client/update note) |
Added some new animation mechanics to support the Sawmill. (The sawmill will crash clients that have not merged these changes.) | ||
Buzzcut Board | 2024-02-11 | <No Pages> -- (Key Fixes) / (Skipped: General client/update note) |
Updated various internal client interfaces for forward compatibility with some upcoming changes. It would be nice if custom clients merged these. | ||
Buzzcut Board | 2024-02-11 | <No Pages> -- (Key Fixes) / (Skipped: General client/update note) |
Made the mesh resource format significantly more space-efficient (though this new format won't be used until custom clients have had a chance to merge it). | ||
Buzzcut Board | 2024-02-11 | <No Pages> -- (Key Fixes) / (Skipped: General client/update note) |
Added server-side support for various other resource formats that have been in the client for long enough to hopefully be merged into custom clients. | ||
Buzzcut Board | 2024-02-11 | <No Pages> -- (Key Fixes) / (Skipped: General client/update note) |
Reformed a large number of resources for better forward compatibility with some future changes. I hope this won't affect custom clients too badly, but I also don't think it will. | ||
Buzzcut Board | 2024-02-11 | <No Pages> -- (Key Fixes) / (Skipped: General bug/gfx fix) |
Fixed a bug with instancing the tree wind effect which should significantly improve performance with many trees on-screen. | ||
Buzzcut Board | 2024-02-11 | <No Pages> -- (Small Fixes) / (Skipped: General gfx fix) |
Remedied the way in which some objects, such as hearthfires, would always animate in-sync with each other. | ||
Buzzcut Board | 2024-02-11 | <No Pages> -- (Small Fixes) / (Skipped: General gfx fix) |
Fixed the jerking that some sprites, such as windmills, would do when first showing up (or previewing for materials). | ||
Buzzcut Board | 2024-02-11 | <No Pages> -- (Small Fixes) / (Skipped: General bug/gfx fix) |
Fixed a bug where placing some objects, such as trees from treeplanter's pots, would sometimes not show up properly. | ||
Buzzcut Board | 2024-02-11 | <No Pages> -- (Small Fixes) / (Skipped: General bug/gfx fix) |
Probably fixed the bug where the climbing animation would not actually play while climbing. Could not reproduce reliably, so not entirely sure if fixed. Please report if it still happens. |

Pickling Brine | 2024-03-15 | Pickling Jar, Pickling Brine, Pickled Beetroot, Pickled Carrot, Pickled Cucumber, Pickled Egg, Pickled Herring, Pickled Olives -- (New Implementations) |

The amount of fluid the jar can hold decreases when items are placed in it. :Put Beetroots, Carrots, Eggs, Herring, Olives, Cucumbers, or Onions in the "Pickling Jar". Stonedolly & Cornpouch (2024-11-07)
Patch | Date | Pages -- Remark |
---|---|---|
Change | ||
Stonedolly & Cornpouch | 2024-11-07 | <No Pages> -- (New Implementations) |
Added Left & Right Hand Pouch Equipment Slots. Characters now have two additional "Pouch" slots representing pouches carried on the left and right hand hip respectively. The slots can currently hold: Creels, Quivers, Keyrings, and Purses. This solves the horrendous absurdity that one could not wear a Creel with a Cape. One can now, should one so desire, wear e.g. two Creels, a Creel and a Purse, a keyring and a quiver, &c. Quite ÆSTHETE. Note that the character's hands currently bleed into whatever you carry on your hips, but that we aim to adress that. | ||
Stonedolly & Cornpouch | 2024-11-07 | <No Pages> -- (New Implementations) |
NOTE: Custom clients may/will have problems with e.g. not showing the new equipment slots until the new hot codes are merged. Do note that equipment previously equipped in the "wrong" slot (e.g. a Creel in the Cape slot) will automatically jump to one of the new slots, appearing to hide it. Until custom clients are updated, this can be fixed by logging into the default client, and e.g. hotkeying Creels and such to be able to open them. Apologies, there was no elegant way to merge this without hurting customs a li'l. Transient pain for a good cause. Thank you for your service. | ||

Patch | Date | Pages -- Remark |
---|---|---|
Change | ||
Swinish Alchemy | 2024-11-24 | Boar Tusk Snuff -- (New Implementations) |
(Re-)Added "Boar Tusk Snuff" from Legacy! Yoohoo! :"Boar Tusk Snuff" is a craftable substance. :When sniffed, player recieves a wound, corresponding in size to the snuff's quality, called "Tuskalooza!". "Tuskalooza!" buffs your Strength attribute by its wound size, but diminishes rather quickly. :If sniffing more while already "Tuskalooza!"'d, you will, additionally, recieve a wound "Nose Bleed", which heals relatively quickly. :When "Tuskalooza!" disappears entirely, you will recieve a "Sore Snout" wound, lasting for some time. The size of the "Sore Snout" is a function of the maximum size the expiring "Tuskalooza!"-wound ever had. :You are mechanically prevented from committing the most obvious "Boar Tusk Snuff"-suicides, but do tread with caution. :The intent has been to make the snuff somewhat useless in combat, but useful when e.g. mining. | ||
Swinish Alchemy | 2024-11-24 | Snuffbox -- (New Implementations) |

Buffed the baseline effect added from eating "Liberty Caps". The amount of effect added now increases with quality on the mushroom. | ||
Swinish Alchemy | 2024-11-24 | Tick, Fishing, Bushcraft Fishingpole, Primitive Casting-Rod -- (Small Fixes) |
"Tick"s are now only bait while bloated, much like Leeches. | ||

Patch | Date | Pages -- Remark |
---|---|---|
Change | ||
Tansy Ridge | 2024-11-30 | Tansy, Tansy Extract -- (New Implementations) |
Added "Tansy", flower, herb, curio, spice. Picking "Tansy" will grant you some amount of buff "Scent of Tansy", acting as a midge shield. "Tansy" can also be rubbed on oneself for an increased dose of "Scent of Tansy". | ||
Tansy Ridge | 2024-11-30 | Wounds, Deep Worm -- (New Implementations) |

Added "Tansy Extract", medicine. Can be applied externally or internally. Applied externally adds a significant amount of "Perfume of Tansy", which is a variation on "Scent of Tansy", causing midges to lose all interest in you. Applied internally "Tansy Extract" cures A Cool New Wound(tm). | ||
Tansy Ridge | 2024-11-30 | Fruit Jelly -- (New Implementations) |
Added "Fruit Jelly", food. | ||

Tansy Ridge | 2024-11-30 | (GFX), Embankment Scaffold, Terraforming -- (Key Fixes) |
Added a visual lining to the top of ridges to make them apparent when approached from the "behind" side. May need some more art:ing, but on the whole I didn't hate the new look, and it serves a practical purpose. | ||
Tansy Ridge | 2024-11-30 | Wounds, (STEAM) -- (Key Fixes) |
Wounds are now achievements. Unfortunately, Steam will not (at least not yet) permit us more than 100 achievements, but we track them as such on our end and will upd00t if Steam ever decides to consider us a real game(tm). (Steam is still "learning about the game" per their parlance.) | ||
Tansy Ridge | 2024-11-30 | (UI), Wounds -- (Key Fixes) |
Wound info pages now dynamically and programmatically list their debuffs, such that we don't have to manually update them and reflect the code in their descriptions, and such. Wounds with more complex effects, e.g. "Concussion" can now properly present their current debuff. | ||
Tansy Ridge | 2024-11-30 | Locks & Bolts, Metal Lock, Wooden Lock, Steel Lock -- (Key Fixes) |

"Stone Kist"s and "Jotun Clam"s can now be extended with Sketches. | ||
Tansy Ridge | 2024-11-30 | (UI), Log, Tree -- (Small Fixes) |
Logs will now present information about how much has been cut from them when "Inspect":ed. "Inspect" is a bit cancerous in how it presents information RN in that you kind of need to have the log open to see the full info, or else you'll only get the randomly last bit as the immediate sys message. Will hopefully fix that at some point, but wanted to make this change now while I could still remember to make it. |
Casket Inspection (2024-12-06)
Patch | Date | Pages -- Remark |

Added variable materials to "Stone Casket". | ||
Casket Inspection | 2024-12-06 | (UI) -- (Key Fixes) |
Information gleaned when using the "Inspect" action now remains stored for the duration of the game client's knowledge of the object inspected, remaining available in the Inspect-cursor tooltip on the object. So basically, info you have gotten by "Inspect":ing will linger until you lose sight of the object by e.g. moving away from it or into a house, or the like. NOTE: This may cause unupdated custom clients to crash. The client codes were pushed earlier in the week, and most appear to have merged it. | ||

Can "Inspect" setting buildings to find out how much of their damage soak they have built up. | ||
