Liberty Caps can be eaten by right clicking on them and selecting the "Eat" option. This food restores 300% of the energy bar and gives 0,5 Psyche in FEPs.
Furthermore, when eaten raw Liberty Caps you get The Mind Liberated buff, which buff Psyche and decrease Agility. At least 10 Liberty Caps are needed to get "crazy high". The buff goes off fast so eat them in one go.
Photosensitivity Warning
Right after eating Liberty Caps, and occasionally while affected by "The Mind Liberated" will cause flashing lights to appear on screen. These simulate psychedelic hallucinations. Frequency and intensity of effects scales with the buff amount.
Notes
To gain the "The Mind Liberated" effect Liberty Caps must be consumed in a way which grants the character FEPs which means consuming them while at high enough energy or using a feast option at table.
