Your two Pouch slots (9L and 9R) are very useful implements that allow you to hang various articles and implements off your hip.

In addition to obvious conveniences, there are a few specific items designed to be equipped to the Pouch slots for specific purposes.

Utility Items

These are tools that can be exclusively equipped to either Pouch slot. You can wear two of the same at once.

Item	Capacity	Notes/Special Effects
Glass Jug	5 liters	Watertight container. Holds 5L and takes up two slots, making it equally space efficient as a bucket but can also be held on you without taking up a hand. Great for carrying drinking water. Can't be stored on a belt, thus is best stored in an unused Pouch slot.
Lantern	100 hours of flame	Extremely useful utility item that grants a portable long lasting flame fueled by candles. A lit Lantern will burn for around 100 real-life hours, during which you can right-click it onto objects like campfires, cauldrons or smelters to light them. Can't be stored in a belt or your inventory without extinguishing itself.

Gatherer Pouches

These are containers that can be exclusively equipped to either Pouch slot. You can wear two of the same at once.

Poacher's Pouch	6x6 (36 tiles)	Pouch container that can store raw hides, raw meat, brains, bone, animal fat, intestines, entrails, and small animals/birds both dead and alive

Pouch-placeable items

These are items that can be placed in a Pouch slot for convenience.

Do note, however, that ALL items listed below can also be placed in either a belt or simply your inventory without affecting their use, thus freeing up your Pouch slots for their exclusive gear.
