Parchment is crafted using one Prepared Animal Hide. It's an extremely useful literary tool. You can write on it, draw someone, explain a combat move, describe an item, Paint an item and make a report on a curiosity.

Tip

• Decals can be place with MC+Shift(general auto-grap next one in inventory).
• Blank parchment and all it's aforementioned derivatives can be placed on a Notice Board.

Notes

• Stacks exception: When creating a decal with a non-stacked item the decal painting stops when the item is put back in an inventory. Not so when one used a stacked item. (Only tested with decal painting and player inventory, Feb 2026.)

Game Development

• Raw Trucker (2021-09-05)◎ >"Added "Decals". Hold most any item (not other decals, you fool!), and right-click a blank parchment, to get the option to make a "Decal" with that item's image on it. Decals can be attached to all carryable objects. We meant to allow them on stockpiles as well, but that was somewhat problematic(tm). Will hopefully fix in the future. Cupboard signs, thus implemented."
