Black Pepper is a food ingredient that increases the FEP gain of foods that it is sprinkled over. Apply to food by picking up and right clicking on target food.

40 | 100% |

How to Acquire
You need a Quern or a Peppermill to make a black pepper.
Quality
Only the Dried Pepper Drupes determine the quality of the black pepper, the Quern has no effect.
Farming acts as a softcap and will lower the quality of your black pepper when using Dried Pepper Drupes that are higher quality than your farming skill. [Verify]
Note
It takes half the number of Dried Pepper Drupes to make Black Pepper using a Quern compared to using a Peppermill, but this also halves the quality. Pepper milled by a Quern is 41% more cost efficient than from a Peppermill. The only drawback is quern pepper takes up more storage space.
