The Clay Cauldron is an important tool for Cooking and a variety of miscellaneous tasks. First cauldron a hearthling can do, takes 1 Tick, or approximately 5 minutes, for the clay cauldron to come to a boil before you can use it. In addition, the clay cauldron halves the quality of the water used in recipes.
The Clay Cauldron holds 30L of water when full and requires wood as fuel.
The Metal Cauldron is a direct upgrade to the Clay Cauldron that can be used as soon as its lit.
Quality

Note: The final water quality is capped to a minimum quality of 1.0.

Notes
- The wood blocks does not affect the quality of the cauldron.
- After the cauldron begins boiling it will continue to “boil”, even if water is removed or evaporates, so long as the fire beneath it remains lit (though water will have to be re-added). I.e. you can keep it lit for a long time and remove water to conserve it, so you do not have to wait for it to “re-boil” when you want to use it.
