Exquisite Rot is an item used to produce Tanning Fluid. It is more efficient than Tree Bark and adds greater concentration per unit when added to water.
Exquisite Rot is used in the same way as bark. ie: directly add it to a container that contains water or tanning fluid (below 10% concentration).
Exquisite Rot is created by leaving Untanned Rot in a tanning tub filled with Tanning Fluid for 36 hours.
Because Untanned Rot is crafted using animal products instead of bark, using Exquisite Rot in place of Tree Bark allows for production of higher-quality leather when high-quality trees are unavailable or in short supply.
The effects of Exquisite Rot on tanning fluid concentration are as follows:
- 1 piece of rot adds 2% concentration into a 50L container.
- For any other container, the added concentration per Exquisite Rot is
- For instance: A tanning tub has a container capacity of 20L, so adding one exquisite rot will raise Tanning Fluid concentration by 5%.
Note that the maximum Tanning Fluid concentration is 10%.
