Soak v Strength v Tools

5 Soak means that bashing a Hearth Fire requires minimum of

36 STR if bare-handed or using tools that don't give bonus to demolishing

25 STR while Stone Axe or Metal Axe is equipped

16 STR while Pickaxe is equipped

4 STR while Sledgehammer is equipped

Higher Strength will result in more damage, making the process faster and cost less stamina.

Follow & Travel

When a character hearts home. Other characters that are set to follow this character start walking into the direction of his new location. This was with two neighboring grid-maps, although outside visual range traveling. Effect is probably limited by some given distance, but might not be. --.MvGulik. 06:25, 6 December 2021 (UTC)

Patch history

Smoking Mollusk: "Reduced the travel weariness cost of hearthing home to 1%, rather than 5%."

Iced Bait: KO dialogue window added

Starboard Bough: "Fixed the logout menu added in the last patch such that it should now take effect even if you are offline. For example, if you have crashed, your KO:ed character should port home when waking up, if able."

Alternative Acquisition

Should "Wilderness Beacon" be listed as an alternative for the "5 branch 1 dream?" Would need a qualifier "new character only."

Hmm. Although a Wilderness Beacon will turn into a Hearth Fire when used, its more a game mechanic. The final HF is not specifically build or crafted by either character. Taking this to the extreme, one could potentially argue the same applies to a new character (ie: as alternative for an HF). Overall I think that direct linking (ie:wiki-required/(infobox) system) of the Wilderness Beacon to the HF is not really applicable. --.MvGulik. 20:25, 4 October 2024 (UTC)
