Craft > Processing & Materials > Grind Pipestuff

Powder obtained by grinding Cured Pipeweed in a Quern. Pipestuff stacks up to 0.50kg, and each leaf of cured pipeweed produces 0.05-.15kg of powder.

Pipestuff can be stored in buckets and barrels, like most "powders." But also specifically in a Snuffbox.

How to Use

Pipestuff can be added to a Pipe, up to 0.40kg at a time or to a Snuffbox, up to 1 kg at a time, and can be smoked in order to acquire Smoke & Fire buff.

Smoking Pipestuff also reduces Travel Weariness.

Quality

Quality of a Pipestuff is average ingredients and is softcapped by Farming*Dexterity2

Notes

  • To get 'crazy high' on Pipestuff, you need 0.16 kg of Pipestuff while using a Bull Pipe.
  • While you are actively smoking Pipestuff, sometimes Smokerings and rarely Smokeships will spawn; when you reach 100% of the Smoke & Fire buff, they can spawn as many as three at a time. They tend to immediately slow dart away from you, not like other flying bugs, so it is easiest to catch them while riding a horse in a flat area like a field. Rings and ships can go through walls so it is not recommended to smoke inside a house if you want to catch them.

Game Development

  • Grand Pickle Brain (2026-02-05) >"Added "Smokering". Occasionally when puffing a pipe, you will blow a "Smokering". If you catch it in time, it is a curiosity, and a ring. Further occasionally you may instead blow a "Smokeship". Suggested/discussed here. There is, of course, a new Ship-in-a-Bottle variant for "Smokeship"s."
