The Silkworm Egg, acquired from Silkmoths, can become a Silkworm and, later, a Silkworm Cocoon (see the Silkfarming page for more on their life cycle and care). Silkworm Eggs are important in the production of Silk Thread and Silk Cloth. The egg is the only part of the Silkworm life cycle that can be stored indefinitely.
Silkworm Eggs hatch into Silkworms after spending 7 hours (real-time) on an Herbalist Table.
How to Acquire
If a mate is present at the end of its life cycle, a Silkmoth and its mate will both die and produce 5-10 Silkworm Eggs. Without a mate, the Silkmoth will simply die without producing eggs.
